This was a very nice start from our three month trip through Argentina. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were hugh, and the kitchen and communal space was perfect with three little kids. To my big surprise, it's not anymore a hostel according to their site. What happened? More

Great place at an affordable price! Great breakfast and the people who work there were very helpful and nice. Although the hotel is cheap, it's an area of town that's a little bit dark so we took cabs going back to the hotel at night. Casa Vaiven is close to San Telmo, but it's technically not in ST. It's somewhere... More

We've been there july 2008. Staff was really helpfull, the place is nice. Breakfast is OK with a lot of food, homemade juice. The location is not in the center but close to San Telmo, it may look a bit run down area but safe. The room could have been more clean. More

I stayed at Casa Vaiven for a week. The place has decent breakfasts and looks interesting. Perhaps the best thing about it is the staff who go out of their way to find out information and always recommend great places to see, do, or eat. The rooms could've been cleaned more, and one of the upstairs doors needs oil because... More

First of all, I have to say the the B&B staff are GREAT. They went above and beyond to help us get around San Telmo. They also recommended a soccer match. My husband and I loved it! However, the B&B itself is very disappointing for the following reasons: 1) We stayed there for 3 nights and our bed was NEVER... More

Friendly staff, good beds, excellent breakfast and amenities - they go the extra mile for you. I would recommend Casa Vaiven wholeheartedly. Close to Supermarket, Plaza Dorrego (antiques fair), 10 peso by taxi to Calle Florida and Lavalle. Directions to place are excellent - no problem for taxi from Airport. Downside? Poor soundproofing - you need earplugs to sleep if... More

This place is so romantic. Its a little hard for the cabs to find because its tucked away on a side street, but it is worth staying just to see the beautiful restoration. Total oasis, and not typical for the price you pay. We stayed in a much more expensive place in downtown BA last time we were there was... More

We stayed in Casa Vaiven for only three nights as we had our flights already booked, otherwise we would have been delighted to stay for much longer. The first night we stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and the following two nights in their beautiful suite, which is like having your own flat. The whole building is beautiful... More

Great place to stay, especially for a couple. We stayed 4 nights and it really began to feel like home. Spacious and comfortable room (we stayed in the main room) huge bathroom. Free internet and with only 5 rooms there was very little waiting around. Nice court yard to unwind with some vino. Fairly good spot, we walked to many... More
