I stayed here at the end of my travels in Argentina and found it to be a very unique place. Owned by a Tango professional the Hotel is almost a temple to the Art of Tango with a dance school and salon next door. I was on the ground floor and agree with the previous review that it could be... More

I stayed at this hotel in March with a tour group and found the hotel to be clean, friendly, and in a good location near the San Telmo Mercado (market) and plenty of restauants. This is a beautiful classical style hotel with plenty of charm from the old days. It was once a residence that was later converted to a... More

The area is residential, which frankly we enjoyed more, no tourists or crowds. I'll start with the hotel. It is a converted residence and was built turn of the century. I agree with a previous review, get a suite, they are the only rooms with windows, and preferably facing the back, traffic can get loud at times. Housekeeping was very... More

Very beautiful hotel. Room gorgeous but marred by being on ground floor by reception and so was disturbed during night. Also couldn't use pool and hot tub. More

nice people but the hotel is bit shabby and down at heel and the area is poor. This hotel is at the "wrong end" of SanTelmo and is on a very busy road - If i was 18 it wouldbe fine, but i'd probably be too poor to stay there. More

This was a last minute pick based on previous reviews when we discovered the cruise we were on was going to dump us off in Uruguay because we had no Brazilian visas - so we hurried to find a hotel in Buenos Aires. I couldn't have been happier! I booked their "suite" since I didn't want a small room for... More

If you want to be in the hub of action in Buenos Aires then you would probably be better off looking elsewhere, but we were really pleased that we sought out this hotel as it has real character and after the lenghty journey made us feel that we were in another country, unlike some of the other options we considered.... Good place to stay, from my experience anyway. My three 'issues' were that I couldn't easily find the button to turn off the Tango music in my room (now there's a major complaint for you..) and the pool on the roof is small (but what pool on a roof isn't?) and the free internet is slow to clunky. And that's... More

Fabulous building and décor. Super location in the old part of town. Once we had placed the suitcases on the floor of our room there was nowhere to put our feet! As the hotel wasn't full we were moved into what they called a suite but we called a larger room. The price difference for a suite was about £15.... More

The idea of a hotel that had it's own dance school was something different and the concept of a beautifully restored Art Nouveu home in Bohemian St Telmo was the perfect venue choice for my 60th birthday celebration in june 2010. The hotel is very muched focused on Tango and the teachers were both friendly and could TEACH and we... More
