I stayed at this hotel up to the 1st April for a week. On the 30th March a large quantity of money, my watch & wedding ring was stolen from my room. I went out for diner at 19:30 and returned at 22:00 so it was a short period of time that the thief had. The management deny that anyone... More

Mr. Strachan We understand your disagreement, we know how unpleasant it is to lose things you like and appreciate. We insist in our explanation, given by me personally to you, that “no one but you have entered the room” as it was shown, and you have witnessed, through the check- test of the electronic lock. In addition, the safe box... More

The hotel was booked on line due to reviews and location. The price was 'right' (90 USD with the 18% sales tax). The place was neat and clean plus located within a block of Eva Peron's final resting place. This is actually an apartment venue and not a hotel as advertised. The rooms are spacious and come with a mini... More

The place needs an update on its bedding and linens, the property is old and needs more maintenance than it is getting. Loud plumbing from other rooms can wake you up at 4 am if the guest next door get up early. Not good. Nothing the desk could do about it, then or for the following night. Squeaky air conditioner,... I stayed here a couple of weeks ago on our way down to Antarctica and found it to be a good, solid place to stay. The location is excellent- just down the street from the cemetery, close to many good restaurants and convenient to many of the city sights. The room was basic, clean, comfortable and a very nice size... More

Stayed here in Dec 2014, overall a great hotel. It doesn't seem fair to give the rating a bad score because it is not five star. If you want a five star hotel, there are plenty in the area. This place is wonderful because it is smack dab in the center of Recoleta, the nicest area. You can walk or... More

The hotel is very good located in Recoleta. I think if you book earlier then you can get more reasonable $$ to stay. Room service for the breakfast is also a big plus. The manager is very friendly and he provided all the info we need. We also asked him to arrange a taxi to the cruise port and the... More

Let me start with the good: - Good location in that the hotel is in Recoleta, however it's so close to the cemetery that the immediate attractions include a mall and dozens of tourist trap restaurants (i.e. Hard Rock Hotel, and over-priced, generally bad restaurants). Plus the subte (subway) is about 7 blocks away. However, this is a good value... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was a perfect location for seeing the city; easy to walk to just about anywhere in the city with the added bonus of a superb market close by at the weekend. The room was comfortable and clean though the view was effectively non-existent. Everything worked well, and the staff were very helpful.... More

Located in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires, this "hotel" (more of a studio apartment setup) is within walking distance of the main attractions of this barrio--the Recoleta cemetery where Evita is buried, the Floralis Genérica (giant steel flower), and an outdoor mall and restaurants. For $85 a night, this hotel room was spacious with free wifi (which did cut... More

This is a good hotel for a fair price. Excellent location--exactly next to the Recoleta Cemetery--but there was construction going on next door that was noisy. The Internet was a bit slow and spotty, but at least it was free. The place could use some cosmetic renovations, but it was clean and comfortable enough. The staff was mostly helpful and... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
