Location location location!! Across the road from the famous and beautiful Alvear Palace Hotel, so just pop across the road and use their gorgeous bar. (Not cheap but worth it!) We love the Ulises. Very comfortable rooms and suites. Fantastic staff. Good breakfast. What more do you need or want at incredibly reasonable rates in the heart of Recoleta?

Dec. 2015. After a very long flight and a crazy taxi ride, the Ulises was a welcome sight. The staff was very friendly, helping with luggage and directions. Our room, of two full beds and a daybed, was clean, comfortable, with a kitchenette - plenty of room for three females. There were beautiful old gated windows and elevator. The Recoleta... More

This is a lovely all-suite hotel located right next to the beautiful Alvear Palace hotel. We stayed in the Penthouse suite which is very spacious and bright. We had some issues like Ac not working and some minor problems and the owner of the premises along with the very helpful front desk manager Jorge, solved completely to our satisfaction. They... We loved everything about this place. Clean, up-to-date, close to the cemetery and the absolutely wonderful and fascinating crafts held on Sundays in the park. Staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English. Right across the street from an extremely expensive 5 star hotel. Got everything and more than I expected. Ignore those negative people. I find if you are... More

We stayed after a cruise that ended in Buenos Aires. We checked in early and did not expect our room to be ready, but it was. Room was average size.We had two twin beds, which were very comfortable. Bathroom was good size. It had a refrigerator, microwave, sink and a few dishes, which we did not use. Good internet. Our... More

Upon check-in, I was handed 2 remote controls, and told that they controlled the air conditioner, and I needed to return them upon checkout or would be charged for them (I have never experienced this in my life). The first room I selected was a duplex. I figured this was going to be a spacious suite by the description. This... More

First class staff; very helpful, friendly and professional. The hotel is located in La Recoleta (which will remind you of Paris), one of the top neighborhoods of fascinating Buenos Aires. From here, you can walk to many attractions, shopping centers, and enjoy the cafe and restaurant culture of Argentina. Of course, the hotel staff will help you with indications and... More

Stayed for one night only and booked the day of arrival directly via the hotel's website. Professional and pleasant from the start with a friendly welcome from the front desk staff on checking in. Room was excellent if perhaps lacking in attention to detail - a number of lightbulbs were out which was a shame. Other than that very clean... More

it's not luxurious hotel, but it has everything to spend you days in buenos aires. It's great because you can walk and have many optiones of restaurantes, shops and attractions (palais de glace, cementerio recoleta, av alvear, recoleta mall, iglesia de pilar)

We stayed five nights here. They arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport, which was very nice since we arrived at 1:30am. All of the staff is remarkably friendly and helpful. They are what made the hotel stand out. The room was clean and large with a refrigerator and microwave and room safe. The bathroom had... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
