This hotel is an interesting one. It states that it is a 4 star and I am unsure how this was afforded to it because it is more like a 2 star from check in to check out and room quality etc. However, do not be put off - it offers really good value for money in an excellent location... More

Hotel Salles is centrally located in Buenos Aires. Walking distance from many restaurants, pubs, bars and souvenir shops. The staff were very nice and friendly. Their English wasn't perfect but understandable. Room was nice and clean. Furniture was a bit old though. Other than that all was great.

Ive been in a better HOSTELS then this hotel. I don't know who gave it 4 stars (sign on the entrance wall), but i wouldn't give more then 2. We arrived at 2AM, and although we orders a double bed room (honeymoon trip) we recieved a single bed room! Next, we asked to change rooms, and they gave us a... More

I really liked this hotel. The location is excellent - right in the heart of Buenos Aires, and within easy walkng distance of shops, restaurants and sight. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I was a little concerned when I found that our room was at the front of the hotel - but I had no need to be:... More

I stayed here for 2 nights before my tour started from this hotel. I had a room that had a big window that was the length of the room and was facing the busy main road so I got a really excellent view up and down the road and they had a bicycle race at the time so I could... More

Close to everything, good rooms and great service. For the price, is probably one of the greatest cost-benefit relations in town. If you want something fancy, this is probably not for you, more on the budget-wise side of the coin. Neighborhood doesnt seem very nice once it gets dark, but doesnt seem to be a problem. Cab service is very... More

Do 3star hotels have hairdryers in Beaunos Aires? I dont seem to be able to find anything on all the sites i have looked at. Especially Selles Hotel??? Also are the hotel staff reliable in leading you to the "right" shops when asked for best buys and best money exchange?

The hotel is located very near and over looking the Obelisk in the centre of BA. As a result rooms on the front of the hotel are noisy and as there is no air conditioning, windows are the only cooling option. The dining room was very small and the choice was good, with nice strong coffee. The hotel seems to... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
