First the positive, the staff at Che Lulu were very friendly and helpful. And the bed was ok and the location in old Palermo district is handy. Unfortunately the rooms appear to be from the 1930s and have not been updated or well maintained, the shower was primitive, shared with toilet. The walls and floors are in a sorry state... More

Never visit this Guesthouse unless you like really bad behavior and the worst breakfast I had at any kind of Hotell/Hostel or Guesthouse and I been staying over 8 month in my life at differant places all around the world. Old white boring bread, plastic marmelade and watery coffee. To start with I thought this place seemed really nice. Its... More

This is tough. I spent three nights at Che Lulu and they were generally bad night's sleep. Noise travels horrendously in this place and from the dorm on the top floor you can hear a mouse fart in reception. The showers too were pretty woeful. However, the owners are fantastic, super friendly, really helpful, the place is cute and it's... More

I'm really torn writing this review. The manager here is absolutely wonderful, he draws on maps, he gives recommendations for everything, he was sincerely concerned about us having the BEST time. The other staff were also very friendly and helpful, but I really cannot speak highly enough of the manager. The room was private and cute and the location was... More

Che Lulu has a great location in Palermo and the staff we interacted with spoke great English and was very helpful, giving us useful advice on things to do in the city and where to buy certain items to pay the best price - not the tourist price. The bathroom fan was noisy and the room wasn't as dark as... More

To all readers, please AVOID THIS PLACE! Why? 1. Unsafe 2. Dishonest staff 3. Dirty 4. Disgusting My belongings were stolen! I found my lock broken and bag opened! My cash was taken! Upon telling the staff, they did nothing to rectify it. DO NOT GO UNLESS you don't mind your belongings taken! Also, the facilities are poorly maintained. Taps... More

Being very excited about BA, Chelulu sure has the ability to take the excitement right out of you. I have stayed in many hostels before but this one was dirty and one big disappointing experience. The showers were full of body hair and it seemed to me that they have not been cleaned in ages. The bedding was stained. Other... More

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights while in BA. It looked nice from the outset and then got progressively worse. We got a last minute deal so it was only $60 USD per night, but even this was too expensive for a shared bathroom and TINY bedroom. The decor of the guesthouse is funky but nothing else... More

My first time there was arround 2008, the place was very nice, with design stile, artsy, but very interesting. Now the managment must have change, since it is no longer stylish, and the room was a bit dirty. The rooms are small and crampy, especially the bathroom. I dont't recommend it for people above 25 years old.

The place is definitely not worth the money, absolutely NOT a hotel. The room we had (double) was extremly small and very dirty (pubic hair on sheets and a moldy smell). The shared bathroom was disgusting. We booked five nights but wanted to leave after two as we couldnt bare staying longer. Thats when the greedy staff became rude. They... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
