Don't believe anything you see on the Che Lulu website. The double ensuite rooms DO NOT have queen-size beds (it's barely a double), the shower is literally on top of the toilet, and the room was freezing. We paid to cancel and stay elsewhere. This place is not trendy - It is dirty and very noisy if you are in the front as the road at the corner is virtually a highway through downtown. My husband and I stayed at Che Lulu for four days this June during our trip to BA. I can't say enough good things about the young people who were our hosts. All of them spoke English flawlessly, were extremely and friendly, and SO helpful in making reservations for dinner and giving advice and directions for traveling around the city.... more

Advertised as "a trendy hotel" and rated well in guide books...this is a dump. The only worse hotel room I have ever stayed in was in Bande Ache Indonesia after the Tsunami. In fact it was so bad we forfeited a 30% deposite and found another hotel. The hotel staff was very nice though...I think they understood. It was not... more
