My husband and I stayed at Che Lulu for four days this June during our trip to BA. I can't say enough good things about the young people who were our hosts. All of them spoke English flawlessly, were extremely and friendly, and SO helpful in making reservations for dinner and giving advice and directions for traveling around the city.... more

I've stayed at Che Lulu in Feb 2007 for the first time and I went back two weeks ago to spend a few days in Buenos Aires. I've been in several hotels but I believe this one has the best staff ever, giving good directions, attending any concernings and with a great customer service! The rooms were repainted and they... more

Me and my partner stayed here for one night after the youth hostel we were booked into refused to honour our booking, demanding we pay them again (I'll review separately). Don't get me wrong, this place isn't the ritz, but the service was second to none. The staff really make this place. When we explained our predicament and the times... more

You'll see a lot of bad reviews for Che Lulu here. They're wholly misguided. How much are the complainers expecting for a $65 room in a city of 12 million? Could you find friendly people, clean rooms, and a big complimentary breakfast in downtown NY or LA for only $65? Che Lulu isn't the Ritz Carlton, but it's a wonderful... more

Advertised as "a trendy hotel" and rated well in guide books...this is a dump. The only worse hotel room I have ever stayed in was in Bande Ache Indonesia after the Tsunami. In fact it was so bad we forfeited a 30% deposite and found another hotel. The hotel staff was very nice though...I think they understood. It was not... more

For the pros I can say that location is fine, breakfast is pretty good, the place is not too expensive, bed are confortable, living room is cosy and nice, free high speed internet access, staff was nice... but for the cons the place definitely needs a deep cleaning: painting are old and dirty, bathroom has mold, and also the room... more

The photographs are not true to form. The place is dusty, dirty and the bathrooms are moldy. The photographs on the website do NOT REPRESENT how the property actually looks and smells. This place is not even a "trendy hostel." You can look around the neighborhood and pay a little more and actually get what you pay for. It is... more

My friend and I stayed at Che Lulu in March of 2007 because we decided to stay longer in Buenos Aires before traveling to Uruguay and the hotel we were at before count not accommodate us for two extra nights. For about the same price as Solar Soler (our previous hotel), Che Lulu was horrible. It is NOT a hotel.... more
