Che Lulu has a great location in Palermo and the staff we interacted with spoke great English and was very helpful, giving us useful advice on things to do in the city and where to buy certain items to pay the best price - not the tourist price. The bathroom fan was noisy and the room wasn't as dark as... More

To all readers, please AVOID THIS PLACE! Why? 1. Unsafe 2. Dishonest staff 3. Dirty 4. Disgusting My belongings were stolen! I found my lock broken and bag opened! My cash was taken! Upon telling the staff, they did nothing to rectify it. DO NOT GO UNLESS you don't mind your belongings taken! Also, the facilities are poorly maintained. Taps... More

Being very excited about BA, Chelulu sure has the ability to take the excitement right out of you. I have stayed in many hostels before but this one was dirty and one big disappointing experience. The showers were full of body hair and it seemed to me that they have not been cleaned in ages. The bedding was stained. Other... More

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights while in BA. It looked nice from the outset and then got progressively worse. We got a last minute deal so it was only $60 USD per night, but even this was too expensive for a shared bathroom and TINY bedroom. The decor of the guesthouse is funky but nothing else... More

My first time there was arround 2008, the place was very nice, with design stile, artsy, but very interesting. Now the managment must have change, since it is no longer stylish, and the room was a bit dirty. The rooms are small and crampy, especially the bathroom. I dont't recommend it for people above 25 years old.

The place is definitely not worth the money, absolutely NOT a hotel. The room we had (double) was extremly small and very dirty (pubic hair on sheets and a moldy smell). The shared bathroom was disgusting. We booked five nights but wanted to leave after two as we couldnt bare staying longer. Thats when the greedy staff became rude. They... More

Stayed here for two nights in the beginning of August 2012 after returning to BA from a week in Uruguay. I had spent a while in BA staying in a hostel in the microcenter while studying Spanish in June, but wanted to be in Palermo this time. At $20USD per bed for an 8 bed room, this was one of... More

A clean, secure, friendly family run guest house, located in one of the best neighborhoods in town. A short walk from the trendy cafes, restaurants and shops, which Palermo is renown for.   On the downside, the double room I had was very cramped, the basin was very makeshift as was the bathroom (you almost shower over the toilet as... We wanted to stay two nights at this hostel/B&B. The hostel is quite nice, the room is fine, the shared bathroom is OK if you have low standards. After our first night we left really early (basically still at night) and we asked at the reception where to leave our baggage as they told us we will have to change... More

The owners and staff at Che Lulu really make this place feel like a home away from home. The guesthouse is located in a great part of Palermo and is on a quiet street. The guesthouse is stylish, comfortable and clean. My husband and I decided to stay in Buenos Aires for longer than planned because we really enjoyed staying... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
