Good hotel on a good location on a street with minimum of traffic. Information regarding brakfast missing and i messed the brakfast. Some noise from the other corridors, but not disturbing during nighttime.

IMO, This hotel needs a major refurbishment to the rooms. Not a good value. I booked a double matrimonial and got two 1 1/2 beds room instead without any choice to cancel... AC is old, room is smelly, no good ventilation and crappy floor carpets. Bed is not bad , but you can feel the springs are begging for a... More

I stayed here for a stop-over between Uruguay and flying home to the States, based on the reviews I read here. We arrived for check-in around 11:30 pm and the night staff did not have sufficient English language skills to help us try to address the fact that we'd had an 11:00 dinner reservation in Puerto Madero that the ferry... Great location, very friendly, efficient and helpful staff. Only let down was the breakfast. Rooms are very large with more than adequate amenities. Pity thaflt the aircon is difficult to control ( no remote or visible switches) . Not enough plugs. Otherwise, crispy clean sheets and clean toilets. Definitely recommendable..:)

All WAS really fine in this central hotel. We were using it as a stop over on our way down to Ushuaia to visit Antarctica! (which was like going to heaven!) so we were happy it was so central. The room was large and more than adequate. There were tea making facilities and a mini bar. Breakfast and dining there... More

We spent two days here and the people couldn't have been nicer. The street the hotel is on is a bit of a mess with tagging and garbage, but that seemed to be the norm in that area. It was reasonably priced and in walking distance to the best shopping in Buenas Aires. Most places we were going were going... More

We went as a party of 8. Two rooms between us and it worked out just great. They were clean, quiet and comfortable, nothing spectacular. The AC worked, which was important as we were there in 90+ heat. The safe in the room worked for storage of all our important documents that we didn't want to carry. The staff was... More

We arrived late on a Saturday evening with a copy of our confirmation we had booked online. Only to be told they were full. They did nothing to help us on a very busy night in buenos aires. The front desk manager decided to not understand English when it was convenient, he wouldn't even help us call the online company... More

We stayed for a total of 6 nights. The hotel is in a good location downtown on a pedestrianised street. It is quite old and reminiscent of smaller hotels in European cities. Some rooms are very small. Some of the staff are friendly. The biggest negative is the breakfast - on our tour of S America, we stayed in 10... More

The unique good think in there are front desk people, who are always able to help everybody. Rooms and bath are terrible, must be refurbished. Location in city centre is not a good reason; I felt so unsecure around, with dark and empty streets at night. For everywhere you will need a taxi, so it's better to choose some hotel... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
