We felt really lucky to have picked this stylish, convenient, good value hotel, just a few blocks from the Recoleta cemetery, three blocks from the subway and halfway between the Centro and Palermo, for our first visit to B.A.. If you're a walker, you can totally hit most attractions in town by foot. The staff is friendly and helpful, and... More

This hotel is beautiful and really gives you the feel of Buenos Aires with the high ceilings and traditional Buenos Aires architecture. The hotel is conveniently located a few blocks off of Av. Santa Fe in Recoleta. Perfectly located to explore the city. The hotel staff is extremely nice and helpful. The morning breakfast is plentiful and the wifi is... More

Just returned from four nights at the Art Hotel and had an excellent experience. Our room was classified as "king" and located on the fourth floor. It was quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the free WiFi, simple breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and yogurt as well as hard boiled eggs, ham, and cheese, and coffee served with hot milk.... More

Five night stay. Friendly staff. Got good tips on restaurant, and sight seeing information. It is a 10 minute walk to Recoleta Cemetery. Thirty minute walk to Obelisk and Opera House. Room was small but utilized space well. Included a room safe, free wi-Fi, and good buffet breakfast. Had about 40 rooms. Surrounding neighborhood had restaurants and fruit stands and... More

I really want to give this hotel 5 stars but I do have one compaint about it, and that the shower doors are very inefficent. Every time I would take a shower, there would be a giant puddle of water in the bathroom. I tryed everything, putting towels on the floor (they'd just get soaked) to moving the water away... More

I loved this hotel and its location. The room was good size and bed/ mattress was comfortable. The staff is polite and speaks English. The breakfast is good- nice tea selection. The location is one of the best you might find in Buenos Aires. I split my journey between this hotel and one downtown (Carson- that one I will never... More

stayed here one night in one of the smaller rooms. room was nicely decorated. Breakfast is good, free wireless. Price is very reasonable taking into account that hotels are in general expensive in BA. Hotel is located in an old building in la recoleta with high ceilings. Nice lobby with art works. Friendly service. Be sure to ask for a... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
