This is a really wonderful hotel in a very good location in central BA. I always stay here and having done so every year for the last 10 years. Rooms are comfortable with everything you need. Service is excellent, friendly and courteous and the staff will do anything to help and assist you. Always my first and last night in... More

We were recommended to this hotel from a friend who leaves in Argentina. At first looks like any other hotel, when we went to the room we found a well appointed very clean room, equipped with all you would expect from a hotel of its kind. Make no mistake this is not Intercontinental but it is a nice clean hotel,... More

It is a basic hotel; the rooms are ok and the bathrooms are good with hair dryer. The rooms have security box. There is free wifi in the bedrooms. The breakfast is ok, with fruit available. The stuff is nice and helpful. The location is great just a stone away from Calle Florida and from the metro station (S. Martin)

Located in a priviliged location, just a few minutes away from the exclusive Puerto Madero neighbourhood and the renowned Florida Street and Plaza San Martin. Its prominent location close to historic monuments, offers passangers fast access to the commercial and financial center (downtown), and also exclusive restaurants, cinemas and theatres.

As noted in other reviews you can´t fault the location. Really close to everything you need to see in the centre of BA. My main problem with this place was we had a room that was extremely noisy and thus detracted from our stay here. Oh there was also the front desk staff that were certainly not the most helpful... My husband and I stayed at the Principado for 03 nights during our 12 days vacation in South America. We loved the Principado!!! From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the bellboy welcomed us with a great smile, the people at the front desk were extremely nice, they helped us make our reservation for a marvelous tango show ("Senor... Aside from the location, there is nothing remarkable about this hotel to say.The breakfast was included in the rate but it was the same thing every morning with no variations at all. After a few days you end having breakfast somewhere else. The bell men were very friendly;not as much the front desk people. The positive thing about the location is that it is... We booked this hotel by phone from our home in Argentina and we have been staying in the hotel for 4 years. We like the hotel in terms of rooms, service and the cafe there is good. Last trip I discovered that I was being charged double what other people, those with a "true" Argentine accent", were being charged. We... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
