The Hotel is located in the heart of Retiro, walking distance from Puerto Madero, Retiro train station, Florida Street and several Pub´s and Restaurants. The cost realtion is very attractive. Its possible to book without breakfat (their are several Cafe´s in the neighbourhood)

Let me start by saying that the location is fantastic. The hotel is surrounded by a trendy neighbourhood, around the corner from Florida Avenue with amazing shopping and great restaurants. The reason why I am not completely satisfied is because the staff are very RUDE! We felt as though we were a burden when we asked a question, for example... More

We stopped here a total of 4 nights, we found the location great right near to Florida avenue and the underground station. The rooms are comfortable with regular cleaning, we found the price close to Hostel rates for the two of us around 300 pesos per night via Booking.com. the breakfast is traditional but more than enough to fill you... The stay at this hotel was somewhat disappointing. I selected it based on prior reviews that focused on staff friendliness and willingness to help. This was not my experience at all. Looking at all those reviews, I now notice they were written a couple of years ago, and those individuals must be long gone, replaced by aloof, indifferent personnel, who... More

Hotel Promenade is a perfectly adequate hotel that's situated in a great section of Buenos Aires. My room was essentially a bed, a bad TV, and a functional bathroom (with a great shower), but here it's all about location, location, location, and for the price you can't do much better--especially if you're willing to walk. The staff bumps my rating... More

Helpful staff, great breakfast, centrally located, close to Subte, and close to Burquebus terminal for travel to Uruguay.

The reviews from this website seems reasonable, which is the price of the hotel. It seems I got less than what I paid for. The staff doesn't speak much English, which made it hard to communicate to them regarding billing particulars. But they try hard to make your stay comfortable. The first day was met by being trapped in the... More

The hotel was in a very good location just opposite a good restaurant and 2 blocks from the main pedestrian shopping area. The hotel is a little old but the staff were friendly. However there was little English spoken but we were able to make ourselvdes understood. The room we had was at the rear which was quiet, fairly small... More

I stayed here in February 2010, with a friend, on our journey down from England to Antarctica. We flew from England, via Paris, and stayed for two nights before we flew on to Ushuaia to join our expedition. The hotel was part of a travel package we had booked, along wih our Antarctic expedition, and so I cannot really comment... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
