Perhaps not very inviting from the exterior but the hotel is fine. I arrived without having pre-booked and found reception staff helpful and welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable- in line with most hotels. The bed was extremely comfortable. Internet worked well which can be an issue in Buenos Aires so bear this in mind if it is important... We stayed here on the first stop on our honeymoon. They were fairly helpful on our arrival allowing us to leave bags and shower (we took the overnight flight from London). The room is pleasant but the place lacks a bit of soul. The breakfast is very average and the service at breakfast is very poor. My husband asks for... More

Stayed for 5 nights. Pros of the hotel: great location in Recoleta, very nice and helpful staff who speak excellent English, comfortable beds. However, the cons are considerable: most key is that the rooms are not soundproof. If someone knocks on your neighbour's room, you would think they were knocking on yours. My room was just above the restaurant and... More

I recently stayed at the BA Grand Hotel for business and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel was centrally located in the Recoleta neighborhood. There was construction outside of the hotel, so the entrance was a bit unassuming and rather bland. However, the interior of the hotel was very nicely decorated and the rooms were very modern. The hotel... More

I was looking for a hotel in Buenos Aires and based on the reviews of the Buenos Aires Grand in Tripadvisor I book for 4 days for a medical meeting. As soon as you enter the hotel you feel the special care you will get from the friendly staff. Also to notice upon entering the small lobby, modern, stylish, warm... More

I can not say enough good things about the grand hotel. We have used it as our base for our South America trip & each time we have had a side trip the Grand has gladly looked after any of our luggage that we didn't wish to cart around. Located in beautiful Recoleta, the hotel is about a 5 minute... More

First time in BA and I wasn't sure where to book a hotel. After comparing reviews and getting a good deal through my airline, I opted for the BA Grand. Like other reviewers, I do love the attention to detail in the place. Rooms are nicely decorated, modern and sleek. There's even a nespresso machine in the rooms. (2 free... More

The hotel has several pros: Location, free Wifi, clean, fashion, excellent customer service... However, I was impressed about the attention to small details: lights turn on automatically when going to the toilet, automated up and down blackouts, accessories, double-glasses windows for noise cancelation; iphone radio-alarm-clock, etc... The customer service is also excellent. Always with a smile they go extra mile... More

This hotel has a very modern, cutting edge decor. The lighting is very romantic Our king-size room has two flat screen t.v.s. & a large couch. I love the black out shads. The bath room is spacious with a giant shower head. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. The breakfast is very good, and you can order special items from... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
