We ( me and my wife ) stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on March 5,6 and again for 2 nights on 9th and 10th March, 2015 after our trip to Iguazu Falls. Our travel agent suggested and booked this hotel. First time, we were given a room on the backside where we had a breathtaking view of a... More

We booked The Amerian Hotel twice -- the day before our cruise to Antarctica and for 3 days after our cruise. This, without a doubt, is one of the best managed, well run, well located and service oriented hotels in downtown Buenos Aires. We had a huge corner room overlooking the city square to begin and they gave us the... More

We stayed at this hotel on Jan 18, 19, 20, and returned to it on Jan 29, 2015. At this hotel the rooms are clean and quiet. The breakfast was delicious. Spanish is spoken by everyone but here we could communicate in English. We found the staff helpful to a point but when we encountered difficulties on the street there... More

Well located in an area with lots of shopping, restaurants, near a cheap laundromat and lots to do. The hotel was nice, had free Wi-Fi and good breakfasts. We ate in the bar and the food was fine, though service was a little slow. A great place to get your laundry done is at the laundromat about a block and... More

If it were not for their very good location, I would not have stayed here again. The staff here is reasonably good and helpful. But there are things beyond their control. I have stayed at one other Amerian hotel and it was better overall. The problems: The WiFi was worse than last year and we got the same response this... More

This hotel is close to many restaurants, sites, bars, banks and the Pacifico shopping center. The lobby has ample seating areas and a nice bar. The interior spaces & rooms are a little tired looking. The rooms are large enough with TV & free wifi. The thermostats will only turn on the A/C and adjust fan speed. The temperature is... More

We were on a conducted group tour from India and stayed at the Amerian for a total of 3-nights in October, 2015. The hotel lobby was nice and had good sitting areas. We had a comfortable stay in our room, on the 9th floor with a view, which was spacious and well appointed and the attached bathroom was nice and... More

Spent 3 nights at the hotel. Good location, walking distance from the Puerto Madera area. Rich breakfast, but if you want eggs you'll have to wait for 7:30ish Convenient large rooms, shabby view. The elevator is tricky - must use room key to operate, plenty of malfunctions, several people got stuck in the elevator ... Good wifi reception and speed... More

Stayed here to kick off a Patagonia trip. The location is OK for a night or two, but we returned after the tour for another three days. The surrounding area is fair - some streets a little sketchy at night. It is convenient to the Bouquebus terminal and Puerto Madero. Buenos Aires is a big city, so it's hard to... More
