We stayed in the hotel for 12 nights. The service was very good and most staff did not hesitate in showing a smile. Their phone customer service could be better. We called them a couple of times and one of the ladies was not very accommodating to our questions. The location, for us was excellent and very convenient...right at Buenos... More

I chose this place for convenience as it is really close to the bus station. The rooms are shabby but perfectly functional. The service I got at dinner time in the restaurant was abysmal. But on the other hand the breakfast was superb and the breakfast staff were great.

I stayed in this Hotel for 8 nights, the service is good and the staff is kind. The hotel is old and a bit run down but I guess that's what you get for a bargain price. I would recommend this hotel if you are traveling on a budget or with buddies, not with girlfriend or family. Location is great.

Only one advise: AVOID it!!! It has all the requirements not to stay in a hotel: -Old furniture, old TV's, old A/C -Dirty Carpets, stained walls, stained curtains -It gets more depressing: stained sheets, old bed clothing. Water coming from the shower is like yellow We stayed there and it was so uncomfortable we could not sleep, we run out... More

Reception not really pleasant, airconditionning not working or with some leak of water, room was dusty and convertible couch not confortable. I don ´t recommand this hotel for a long time in Bueno Aires just for one night and if it's the only one still available.

Enjoyed walking the neighborhood and shops. Close to all major downtown sites. Good food too. Rooms however are quite mediocre but have to say the price was fair for what we got. Would stay again if I could not get something nicer

I lived here for a month and enjoyed the hotel. The breakfast is good, the dinner is also good. The only big issue I see is with wireless that does not work well depending on the room you stay. It is located near to Florida street, but you have to walk like 10 minutes. There is a subway nearby if... More

I stayed for 3 weeks in a privately-owned apartment in this hotel. The apartment was a good size but quite dated - a lot of the cupboards and drawers didn't open/close well. The air conditioning unit was ancient and very loud, and there was a LOT of noise from the street as well. The hotel in general could use some... More

Bathroom is really old. Carpets and decoration is old and dirty. No maintenance. Old tv with few channels and old and noisy A/C. Nice location. It is an apartment, with a living room... However I won't invite any friend here...

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
