I loved it Every day fresh towels and clean rooms. Near Santa fe av. Near restaurants and shops Some meters away from all atractions. Nice walk to the river or On the other side... More

The Regente Palace hotel is very well located in the center of Buenos Aires. The staff offer exellent service and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I have tried. The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds can hardly get any better. Total knockout, once on the pillow. The Restaurant and the bar are very good and the... More

The Regente Palace has a cool location on Suipacha close to the galerias on Florida... and in good proximity to other Buenos Aires shopping streets. The Los Chilenos restaurant nearby is definitely worth a visit, too. The bar also served a mean rum & coke (ron y coca cola) which is always a good sign.

Our room overlooked the street, it was clean and well serviced by excellent staff. The breakfast, while not providing a huge selection, was more than adequate for me and my wife. While there was paid Wi-Fi in the room, Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. The staff at reception were very pleasant and very helpful with our questions about the... More

The location is certainly very convenient. Close to all tourist and historic areas. Very close to restaurants and shopping. But the hotel was not clean. The rooms are dated and okay. I upgraded to what is called a superior room, which was better but not great. This is not a four star hotel.

We like to thank you for your comments. Regente Palace Hotel has for sure one of the bests locations. Superior rooms are totally renovated. New sommier beds, room clothing, flat screen tv, coffee and tea service, bathrobes and individually controlled air conditioning/heating system (VRV Daikin System) are some of the hightlines of our Superior rooms. We got a suite, which looked really nice with two floors. But we order a 4-persons room, so one bed was a not so comfortable sofa-bed. The staff was "ok". Maybe a little arrogant, and not very helpful with stuff beyond basic hotel service. Breakfast with a lot of cakes and croissant. Only simple ham and cheese and scrambled egg... More

Thank you very much for sharing your opinion with us. We will consider your comments and review it with the staff involved. In referente to the transfer out, in Buenos Aires, there are not ¨unofficial taxis¨. There are taxis and there are limo service cars, which do look like normal cars, but belong to a limo service company. These cars... More

I stayed at the Regente Palace for 3 nights while in BA for business. Centrally located for tourists as well as business travelers, the hotel was perfect for my needs. I arrived to the hotel right around noon after a long flight and the staff was very accommodating, allowing me to check in early. Through out my stay the staff... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
