We did not pick this Hotel to stay in, we had booked 9 de Julio in Buenos Aires. The hotel was never full and our understanding is that this hotel was used as an over flow when other hotels in the group had been double booked. The hotel is located down a back street where we were also advised by... More

We decided to spend a relaxing holiday weekend day and chose to be right at the heart of BA.....we were delighted with the hotel with perfect atmosphere, great room with Wifi, spectacular breakfast with delicious scrambled eggs, fruit, pastries and in the middle of town. It was so quite that was hard to believe we're a few steps away from... More

We were put up here by TAM due to a flight cancellation on not being able to make an ongoing connection. Despite being "held hostage" by the hotel - knowing they were being reimbursed by TAM - you still would have thought they we make the stay enjoyable as a PR exercise. The food was terrible - by far the... More

Very happy with the hotel and their staff. Rooms are very good, location is great. Stayed twice in three weeks. Great place. The background music in the lobby needs rework, it's gym's music, not pleasant.

The hotel is on the central part of the city, very close to the Casa Rosada and other historic buildings, unfortunately my room was REALLY small. The bathroom was clean but the hotel overall is a little bit old. Breakfast was always without coffee that annoyed me many times.

We stayed here for one night in February. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, giving us a break on a late check-out since we had an 11:00pm flight. The room was nice enough - the views were of other buildings about 20 feet away, so if you are looking for views, you may want to buy an upgraded room.... More

This hotel is in the heart of the town strategically walking positioned . The double room are small and difficult to move in but the food is good without great choice. The reception is not always pointed concerning the delivery of the clients messages.

Just had a two night break at the NH City. Ideally located for sightseeing. It is just around the corner from the Cathedral, Plaza de Mayo, Cabildo and Casa Rosada (the executive mansion and office of the President of Argentina) The "hop on hop off" bus is just along the road as is the famous shopping area - Florida Street.... The hotel was excellent in many respects; however, there was a misunderstanding with Hotels.com: I was under the impression that breakfast was included according to the description read during reservation.

Used this hotel as part of a tour group in November, 2014. Had a single room and we registered at the hotel for 2 different single nights. If you are elderly, do not consider this hotel. The bath rooms have polished marble floors. A single grab bar exists in the tub/shower. If by chance you wet the marble floor, it... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
