On our way to the Antarctic Voyage, we decided to spend a couple of days in Buenos Aires. This hotel seemed promising, going by Internet information. The good part is the location of the hotel. It's in the heart of the city. We could walk out to enjoy the charm of this capital city. Also, the restaurant was good, with... More

Modern hotel. Rooms are nice and so is the bathrooms. The location of the hotel is very central and is the perfect choice as a base when you want to experience Buenos Aires. Very friendly staff. The breakfast offered has a big choice. I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is located less than one block from the famous Plaza de Mayo, in a very old building but has been completely renovated. Its facade was kept as original but hallways, bedrooms, lifts, everything inside is new. The room is comfortable and you will have a nice sleep. The bathroom is large and has been completely renovated but the... More

It is an hotel for business travels. Small but well organized rooms. Tip: Keep windows shield closed or you may have someone on the near offices building watching you, especially if you stay at one of the rooms at the right side of the reception. Very nice and complete breakfast too. For free time it is walking distance to presidential... More

Helpful bilingual staff, good accommodation and incredible food. The Mediterranean burgers are amazing and the "bondiola braseada con salsas de ciruelas y vodka" is out of this world. The location is also excellent for sightseeing.

We did not pick this Hotel to stay in, we had booked 9 de Julio in Buenos Aires. The hotel was never full and our understanding is that this hotel was used as an over flow when other hotels in the group had been double booked. The hotel is located down a back street where we were also advised by... More

We were put up here by TAM due to a flight cancellation on not being able to make an ongoing connection. Despite being "held hostage" by the hotel - knowing they were being reimbursed by TAM - you still would have thought they we make the stay enjoyable as a PR exercise. The food was terrible - by far the... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
