Good location, comfortable hotel. Very flexible. Allowed me in after an early arrival from a long haul flight. Only negative. Door key didn't work first or second time (up and down on lift twice to reception) , but they got it fixed for me after .

Very comfortable hotel with a nice bar in the lounge/reception area. Centrally located next to Plaza de Mayo. The reception folks were very friendly and helpful. The first barman not so much but the second guy was great. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was booked for us as part of an Antarctic journey through Quark Expeditions. They included breakfast, which I thought was excellent and extremely varied. In my opinion, it was the best hotel breakfast I have had anywhere, and included various fresh fruits, breads, pastries, cheeses, eggs, and beverages. The room was extremely clean and modern. The bed was... More

The NH City is very well situated down town close to the Casa Rosada. Hard to beat in term of location with reasonable prices (On line for 140 $). Came for a work conference for 4 nights in January 16. Potential of the hotel is just fantastic but it's wasted because of a lack of investment to make it upscale... More

We stayed here overnight prior to a trip to Antarctica - it was chosen by our tour operator. We were traveling as a family and had 2 rooms. The rooms were musty and variably clean. We had to move from a first room because the air conditioning did not work and the room was very musty and humid. Another of... More

We spent two nights at this hotel with our tour group from the USA. As it was only a block from downtown it is a great location. Friendly staff but had to ask twice for another chair for the reoom so we could work with our computers Room was fine, shower worked well - bathroom was spacious. A/C worked well... More

NH City in good location close to Plaza de Mayo and within walking distance of Madero Porto, but most poorly maintained hotel ever visited in my extensive travels around the world. Adjacent NH Tower supposed to be better but costs $30 more per night. Even the food was no more than 3*. They didn't even have bowls for the breakfast... More

Lovely hotel-clean, nice breakfast, well located. However, we got upgraded (free of charge) to a larger room. This room was satisfactory in terms of size. Meaning the room we paid for must have been very small... Kieran Dublin

The Hotel is located right around the corner from the Casa Rosada (presidential palace), the Cathedral, and several museums. The surrounding area looks a bit dodgy but offers up some really nice restaurants. The rooms are more than adequate and are a good value. I think most people would be happy here.

The location is very goood.... the hotel looks like a old palace building where you do not have a proper patio for taxi / vehicle to enter. It was very different for me as I have got used to huge patio, car drive through etc., then I realized this is common in Argentina even in big hotels. The city block... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
