We were supposed to stay 5 nights in this hotel. My friend and me each booked a room. To be fair, the hotel is amazingly located in a beautiful, old building. The rooms are very charming. But after a shocking incident in the third night, we decided to leave the hotel. When the receptionist came to wake up me and... More

Very well located in The heart of Palermo soho The hotel is a very nicely refurbished house with few rooms, a nice breakfast and good service. It can be nosy as it does not have great acoustic insulation . Good value for money and the sorrundings are nice and full of great Retaurante and high end stores. A nice boutique... More

I stayed here a week. Breakfast everyday was excellent and my room was cleaned daily. The building is charming and well located to all the attractions in Palermo. Yes the bathroom is small but I was not on a tour of bathrooms. Like the rest of the country, the service can sometimes be sketchy but at least they are nice... More

The Malabia House is easy to miss if you're not looking closely on the street...very unassuming from the outside. But once inside it's really a unique place. Big vaulted ceilings, open courtyards indoors, and some beautiful rooms. The only complaint re: the room was that the bathroom was miniscule. As in, could barely even take a shower because I couldn't... More

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend for 4 nights. At first, I thought evertyhing was perfect. The hotel is very charming, the room was good (only the bathroom was a bit small - so small that the sink is located outside the bathroom), the bed was comfortable and I didn't find it noisy, despite some other comments from... The owner, Maria Bautista is also the chef and chief woman in charge. A delightful property with high ceilings and quaint windows. Enjoyed being located near dinning and great coffee shops. Easy cab ride to neighborhoods and sightseeing. Most enjoyable stay.

This terrific little hotel is in the artsy district of Palermo Soho, so simply walking the neighborhood was entertaining. Located near mass transit, we also found it simple and quick to hail a cab. The hotel is charming, the breakfast and sitting rooms were full of appeal, and the layout with sitting nooks, greenery and fountains make this hotel unique.... More

The location just 2 blocks from Plaza Serrano in Palermo was perfect. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Easy to get a cab at the corner of Malabia and Gorriti. The cappuccino/coffee/tea machine was a treat as was the breakfast...fruit salad, mezzaluna, ham, cheese, fresh baked bread and dulce de leche. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel... I don't like the rather standard hotels when staying abroad on vacation. This property fits my taste. It is a small house with nice and antique decor. The room is filled with lemongrass smell. The shampoo and bath gel are also lemongrass scented. The room is clean, comfy with safe deposit box. Bottle water is not free. Bathroom is tiny... More

Lovely place, understand it was a converted convent at one time. Lovely sitting room and breakfast room. Rooms and bathrooms are more spacious than some B&Bs. Breakfast was truly great -- they were told in advance I was a vegan and were able to produce Soy Milk, the only I found in 3 weeks in Argentina. Eggs made to order.... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
