My husband and I stayed here for 4 days and our stay was charming to the say the least. The hotel is trendy, clean, and located in the heart of Palermo. Walking distance to great restaurants, bars, shopping and transportation. Although in the city, our room was quiet. The staff was accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was continental, but the croissants... More

Great staff at this gorgeous hotel that used to be a monastery. High ceilings large rooms in a very trendy neighborhood with many nearby restaurants. Even tho very small boutique hotel - staff onsite 24 hours - One day we left at 7 am for for ferry to Uruguay and Staff prepared breakfast for us at 6:30 am

I stayed here on two separate occasions during my stay in Argentina, 11 nights spent here in total and I would definitely recommended Malabia House to anyone coming to Buenos Aires. The location is unbeatable in trendy Palermo, the rooms are large and comfortable, the breakfast is nice and above all the staff are so helpful and friendly! Mil gracias... More

After seven years, we returned to Malabia House for our second visit in Buenos Aires. The location is marvelous, the rooms are charming and comfortable. The staff offer congenial hospitality and service whether you are energetic sightseers and tango aficionados or weary travelers. We loved our stay.

I showed up early as I came in on a bus after a 15 hour ride from Mendoza. I was tired and I needed to arrange transportation to Uruguay. They spent a lot of time with me assisting me in this endevour. I liked the look of the hotel, although it is a little older. I felt like it had... More

Awful hotel. We stay for the new year day, and our experience was terrible. The owner, a crazy woman, open the front door and every rooms, like her house. She ended up in an ambulance¡! Stolen money from the room, and the services are not a great thing. Poor breakfast and not confortable, you need to wait, dont have a... More

We spent 5 nights in Buenos Aires and everyone of them we spent in this absolutely charming little B&B located in the Palermo section. It is a renovated convent that holds onto the old world style with a modern and comfortable update. It is in a great part of town. Lot's of little terrific places to eat and shop close... More

After a very long plane ride I was so happy to finally arrive at Malabia House. I was met by Paula & Paulo who knew that I had a long trip as I was due in in the morning and I didn't get there until the afternoon. They made me feel right at home immediately. I spent the entire stay... More

1555 Malabia House was a perfect base for a weekend in BA. Situated in the Palermo neighborhood, it is in close walking distance to cafes, bars, shopping and green spaces. A bonafide history nerd, I was drawn to the past history of the building as a convent and interested in the architectural details that still exist today. The charming interior... More

I planned to stay 3 nights, but ended up there 4 due to a storm preventing me from getting home. By the end of my visit, I was sad to leave, as it had come to feel like home. I had several other friends staying just around the corner at the Muse, but I was happy to be nearby in... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
