I stayed for one week in February and had a wonderful room on the ninth floor overlooking the main street, 9 Julio. From there it was very easy to walk to May 5 Plaza, the central subway station, and many restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I received a 25% discount for paying in US$.

Set on the world's widest street, this isn't the quietest hotel. But the location makes up for that. It's just 20 mins walk from the city centre, five minutes from the Teatro Colon and near a wide choice of shops and restaurants. Metro stations are close by and the rooms are very large with excellent wifi - great to relax... More

We do not like to spend big bucks on hotels as we only use it as a place to stay overnight. In that respect the hotel met our requirements and expectations. The hotel is rated as a 4-star hotel. We would rate it at the high end of a 3-star hotel. The hotel is "dated", although it seemed like our... More

The hotel is just ok if you are to spend only 1 night here; many things we didn't like but we managed to survive. OK: - Location: 2 blocks away from The Obelisco and downtown - Front desk personnel: the guy who checked in us was nice NOT COOL: - Room with "king size" bed is actually a 2 individual... More

Location is brilliant right on av. 9 de julio which is the main road with plenty of public transport .Basically walking distance to many attractions and shops. You get on foot quicker than by taxi around the area as the traffic can be really bad.Hotel itself quite old but staff very helpful. Restaurant wasn't busy at dinner time and food was... More

The hotel is located bang in the middle of BA and it serves a decent cold continental-style buffet breakfast. Because of the main road location the noise can certainly becoming annoying if you are in your room and the walls are quite thin so the noise pressure is from without as well as from within. The rooms are small but... More

We stayed a week in two rooms on a fourth floor. After second night we have to change rooms and moved to one not facing a street. Reasons below. Pros: - excellent location, close to Obelisco one minute from the Subte (underground) station, walking distance to Teatro Colón and other landmarks - safe box - included breakfast - tasty and... This is a very old hotel with some renewed rooms. Unfortunately I stayed in an old room since there were no renewed rooms available at that time. The best part about this hotel is it's location. You can go to Casa Rosada, Puerto Madero and Recoleta by foot during the day. Avoid walking at night since it doesn't look safe.... More

Great location in terms of convenience - walking distance to many sites and metro stop across the street. Being on a main road in a tourist area there is quite a bit of noise at night so if you are a light sleeper - May not be best choice. Rooms are adequate - nothing wrong, nothing outstanding. Fairly large continental... More

Its location is very good close to transport, to most points of interest. People were not as friendly as expected but I arrived late in the night. Good breakfast, clean room, price was good at the time.
