We arrived early from our Paris flight, well before check in. We were thinking how we could kill some time but the staff let us into our room 90 mins before check in. We were very grateful for this. The rooms are a bit dated and a bit small but are comfortable. We paid about €50 for a double room... More

We were on a tour in Argentina and stayed at this hotel for a while. The location near the Obelisque is great, but the traffic noise enters the room (both 2nd and 6th floors) - prepare to use earplugs, if you want to sleep few hours. The staff were friendly, but a few talks english. The breakfast had to order... More

Warm welcome in English...room overlooking the Oblisque...noisy at some times of the day with window open but very warm so aircon appreciated. Bathroom small but adequate..plenty storage and safe useful, good WiFi. Breakfast mostly good but slow one morning. Reception always helpful and location great. Would return. BA an interesting city for a couple days exploring.

Nothing good to say about this place. Rude arrogant staff. Couldn't eat the breakfast. The towels were threadbare. Foreigners were treated like second class citizens. I'm going to complain to World Expeditions. I didn't think they would deal with hotels like this.

Great location. Easy walking distance to restaurants and other BA attractions. Small room, VERY thin walls, and a not-so-comfy bed. No problems with WiFi in the room. In-room safe. Bath tub and enough hot water to fill it. Staff speak basic English (better than my Spanish). I did run into a significant problem, though. I initially booked my room online... More

Four of us, two adults and two children, occupied adjacent rooms in this up and coming hotel. Presently four of its nine floors are newly renovated with upgrades addressing most of the negative comments cited by earlier reviewers. We stayed in 'superior' rooms (which may have meant renovated) for about $75 USD per room per night. They were relatively large... More

The neighbourhood is noisy. Rooms are clean but not well decorated. There is no gym room. Breakfast is really Nice but the hôtel does need renovation for style. The bathroom was ok but room furniture really old. The web site description is not consistent with reality

I stayed for one week in February and had a wonderful room on the ninth floor overlooking the main street, 9 Julio. From there it was very easy to walk to May 5 Plaza, the central subway station, and many restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I received a 25% discount for paying in US$.

Set on the world's widest street, this isn't the quietest hotel. But the location makes up for that. It's just 20 mins walk from the city centre, five minutes from the Teatro Colon and near a wide choice of shops and restaurants. Metro stations are close by and the rooms are very large with excellent wifi - great to relax... More

We do not like to spend big bucks on hotels as we only use it as a place to stay overnight. In that respect the hotel met our requirements and expectations. The hotel is rated as a 4-star hotel. We would rate it at the high end of a 3-star hotel. The hotel is "dated", although it seemed like our... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
