Good location near to Plaza San Martin. Hotel as fairly unremarkable - room was clean and of a reasonable size, but not stand-out in any way. On the whole the staff were helpful, but that depended day-by-day as to who was on the desk. Mostly a quiet location, although the plumbing was very loud (could hear very easily when rooms... More

The front desk, especially Sergio Camargo, went way out of the way to fix snafus that occurred at check in and were extremely helpful in my navigation of Buenos Aires from suggestions on what to do,,where to eat and directions around town. The hotel is a little worn but has super beds and is in a great location. Breakfast is... More

Location, location, location. The hotel is close to the north end of July 9 Avenue is a very nice area or town. It is a 15 minute walk to the Opera House, Recoleta, or the Florida Street shopping area. There are restaurants and coffee shops near the hotel. Further afield, you can walk to the Plaza Mayo area. We did... More

We were 9 stories up and were still bothered by road noise and trash cans clanging. The other problem was trying to adjust the air-conditioner which was usually too cold. However it was nice and quiet and didn't cycle on and off. Front desk and maintenance staff was great. Breakfast was better than OK but not outstanding. The bedding was... More

Very good quality facilities, and well situated in the center of the city. Can honestly recommend, and will return. Language (English) was a bit of a problem and maybe the restaurant staff should be taught to speak and understand at least basic English.

Argenta Towers is located in the business district. We were there at the weekend so it was pretty quiet in the area. We were told it was a very busy during the week. The hotel is well located with plenty of cafes etc in the immediate vicinity. The hotel itself has comfortable and clean rooms, if rather dated. The staff... More

The front desk and housekeeping staff are great, Very attentive. The hotel is in a convenient location. The hotel restaurant ...not good at all. A/C in room is controlled by the building and was not on during the night.

I thought this hotel was fantastic value for money. Huge comfortable rooms, good wifi, good breakfast and good service. Its a great part of town as well with lovely parks nearby and some of Buenos Aires best buildings. I will be returning to BA in 4 weeks time and will definitely be staying here. Great choice!

This is a small hotel located within a short walk to popular attractions. We stayed in a double twin room for five days. The staff members were very attentive for the most part. Breakfast was decent but something we grew tired of by the third day. But, luckily it is located across the street a great bakery and a few... More

We spent three, very comfortable days at the hotel. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was decent, slightly more than a continental breakfast. The room was large and slightly dated with an extremely comfortable bed. Probably the oddest parts of the room were the lack of plugs (literally under the desk), lack of garbage cans and while we truly... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
