The breakfast was good even though the eggs were cold sometimes. The older manger was very good to us when our flight was cancelled due to the strike but there was a younger guy at the counter who did not seem happy to help. We asked for him to book an extra day because of the cancelled flight. He said... More

For starters, this hotel is a fantastic bargain (at least when I stayed there). Unfortunately I check in on a Saturday night, which was busy. I had requested a king bed -- and got two queen beds. Which was a problem because there was about 18" of space between one of the beds of the only "desk" to put a... More

Aspen Towers is a good 4 star hotel. The breakfast was sumptuous and well stocked. The wine soaked apples first thing in the morning were oddly delightful. The rooms were clean and large, the jet tub functional, and the pillows... ah the pillows, I was tempted to steal them. The location is central and just a few blocks from Avenida... More

This hotel is located in Palermo Soho. The hotel itself is modern and clean and from a location perspective, there is an ice-cream shop, supermarket and a couple of restaurants all downstairs. The train station and a some of the main tourists attractions are all within 10 mins walk away. The staff at reception are very helpful and speak great... More

The hotel has nice rooms, a bit old fashioned but clean and spacious. I was in the first floor thus some noise from air conditioning outside, yet nothing that would bother too much. The staff, specially front desk are very nice and helped me when I needed. The breakfast was just regular, nothing special but they have a nice midnight... More

Very well located, about 2 minutes walking to Calle Florida. Rooms where quite small but very tidy and clean and the bathroom had a huge Jacuzzi. Besides the breakfast in the morning (that was complete and abundant) they also used to serve the “midnight breakfast” with less variety of food (medialunas, juice, yogurts, tea, coffee), but very convenient. In the... More

I just visited Buenos Aires and had the pleasure of staying here. This is my third visit and wanted to try staying in the downtown area. This hotel is on the corner of Paraguay and Esmerelda. Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
