We stayed in Che Lagarto Hostel for 4 nights during our time in buenos aires. The first impression of the hostel was fine. Though we had some trouble with our reservation (not due to our fault) we quickly got our rooms and the breakfast there was great! But the rooms themselves where smelly and dirty, and the bathrooms were a... More

Definately not worth stopping here , the beds and bathrooms could do with a good overhaul , make sure you have your own sheets and pillow cases as the ones there are disgusting. A couple of the staff were helpful but it seemed like to much hard work fot the others to assist in anything.

The Che Lagarto Hostels are always nice to stay at. The one in buenos Aires is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Really good hostel and i do recommend it. Big rooms which have enough space to move around in and lockers in the hallway for all your stuff. Big company with hostels throughout south america but always... More

we booked a private room here after a bad experience in another hostel, and we came to a nice, clean room without working airconditioning. We liked staying here but the downside was that the staff failed to book us a taxi so we could take the bus to Córdoba Even though we asked them 3 times if it was allright.... More

I liked so much to stay at Che Lagarto in Buenos Aires. So clean, friendly. Close to Avenida 9 julho and Subte. Good rooms and service. If you want to go to Buenos Aires, rest and enjoy amazing times in Che Lagarto (:

The two stars I have is for friendly and really helpful staffs, they helped me book tours/dinner/airport transit. But the rest of other things were lame. Bedroom and bathroom were not clean at all, without air-conditioner in the room, I was suffering through the night, and the tan does not seem to be enough. Very loud at night, and there... More

i guess the crowd in each hostel changes but the hostel seemed boring when i was there. not much happening and not much character. possible because it is newish. But it is clean and well run and in a good location.

This place has no cultural connection, you could be anywhere in thw world. The staff in this particular one were quite unfriendly, (I have been to 5 lagartos, and after this one i never went to another) the location is good, but there are plenty better, cheaper hostels in the same area so theres no reason to go to this... The staff is great, full of young people who are very attentive in everything (if they didn't know a place or how to get there they looked for it and explained patiently). The breakfast is good, and the dorms are ok. The cleaning crew is very sympathetic and nice. It's very well located, near the center and close to some... More

Friendly staff, had an amazing, huge room (private) with a balcony that looked out onto the street. Fun Monday night out to a club after open bar night (quite a few cocktails drank). Convenient location near Cafe Tortini, Doregos (amazing streak sandwiches) and Placa de Mayo. Would stay here again
