Very good location near the Obelisk Square. Hotel though is old style and the rooms offered for single occupancy was too small with very little natural ventilation. Had a hard time changing and upgrading to a better room overlooking the square even though i was booked for a full week. Room overlooking Obelisk square was nice with a fantastic view.... More

This hotel has remodeled the lobby and some common areas. Rooms are old, small and even the AC is very difficult to regulate. Bathrooms are clean. If you need location over comfort this will work for you. Otherwise, look for another place. Breakfast is simply good.

The location is unbeateable if you want to have great view and be downtown, worth for what you pay for but gotta be careful when booking it. I went to their website and had tried to book my room a couple of times. Didn't work so I called their reservation line in Spain and had all done. Got my email... More

For the price of U$S 38 per night this hotel caters for cleanliness, great breakfast, friendly staff who can speak English, Portuguese and other languages and a fantastic location overlooking the 9 de Julio obelisk. Breakfast was not included at this price but for U$S 56 per night you get a wide variety in the 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM... More

The hotel is vwry well located, very easy to go to many famous spots just walking. Accomodations are not as sofisticated as you could expect from a SPA hotel, but is fine, just a little bit old. Breakfast is fine, not amazing. Cost benefit worthy. As a tip I suggest to change your money at Calle Florida (Florida Street) because... More

We stayed for 3 days at this well located Hotel as part of a package. The price was right and so was the location (right in front of the Obleisco). However everything else is downright average or poor. WiFi is free only at the lobby and needs to be paid for if you require the same in the room. We... More

This is a decent hotel with a great location across from the obelisk downtown. Lots of banks, restaurants, and theaters. Just a couple of blocks from the opera.house. The front desk is adequate. I never felt very welcome after six days. The bell staff is great and will you get around the city. They showed how to use the buses,... More

The hotel is big and seems to be busy. The facilities look like they have seen better days, but it is clean and functional. It is also cheap and they offer single rooms which is a plus for solo travellers. They charge extra for wifi (10 pesos per day). My room was a bit dark and faced an interior yard.... More

It's not the best option for first-time visitors to Buenos Aires. The location is just dreamed -meters from the Obelisco- and the breakfast is good but the rooms are from small to tiny, beds are narrow, the shower is minimal, there is no free internet in the rooms and you also have to pay to use the spa.

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
