The Ayacucho Palace hotel is in a great location and very well priced. It was clean and quiet, but the truly remarkable part of this hotel is the staff. They are very friendly and attentive. The pearl of the hotel is Cielito Dutchen. She went above and beyond to make sure my stay was wonderful. I cannot thank her enough.... More

I booked this hotel recently for an 8 night stay based on a recommendation here on trip advisor for a affordable hotel in the Recoleta area. Thank you! The staff was awesome so helpful and nice. They make you feel like family. This is no where near a luxury hotel very basic but clean and more than adequate. Many people... More

The Ayacucho Palace is economically priced in a desirable neighborhood. The rooms are adequate but not fancy by any means. Clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff always goes out of their way to help and to make your stay enjoyable. Tha Ayacucho is within walking distance of several great restaurants and sights and destinations in Recolatta. I recommend it highly.

I've stayed in Ayacucho palace several times. It's location in recoleta is what I like most about it. It is right in between the plaza recoleta and avda. Santa Fe. Even if the rooms are a bit dated, they are clean and more than adequate. It has a little cafe on the ground floor that also serves a decent breakfast.... More

the hotel is located in recoleta, very near the recoleta plaza and a few block from Av. Santa Fe. Its a great location to explore Buenos Aires. The hotel is comfortable and included a good breakfast at its café. Staff was very helpful. I think the rooms could use an upgrade as the beds, wall paper and televisions seem a... More

This hotel was recommended by a friend of mine and was easy to find when I got to Buenos Aires. I loved the area in which the hotel is situated since you can get to most places by just walking. The neighborhood was safe and the hotel staff were nice. I got a fever on my 2nd day in the... More

I stayed here for 6 nights and felt safe, comfortable and respected. The staff made the difference, getting to know me and understanding the limits of my Spanish--their English was not strong, but they strove to communicate well. Recoleta is a great neighborhood and normally very expensive. Ayacucho is a modest set up, but the rooms are immaculately clean (I... More

We found this hotel a late night after our reservation another place didn't work out. The reception area and breakfast cafe is very nice. The rooms are simple and beds are small and would be depressing at a longer stay. Some of the staff were very sweet and helpful others weren't. No parking, but a parking lot just on the... More

I stayed at the Ayacucho Palace hotel for 5 nights in Dec 11/Jan 12, if you are looking for a place to stay in Recoleta I would definitely recommend this hotel as excellent value. It is very close to the famous cemetery with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby (would definitely recommend visiting Melo) as well as close to... More

The location is great, only three blocks from Plaza Recoleta and three blocks from Av. Santa Fe. The rooms havent been updated but are very clean. Great service and it has a cosy Cafe on the first floor where you have breakfast. Its hard to find a better deal in buenos aires if you want to stay in the ritzy... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
