The lobby is quite baroque, a nice mix of old and new Argentine furniture and details. The rooms are classy and offer modern comfort. It's a shame the hotel doesn't have a pool. There's opportunity to sit outside for breakfast, but it's rather dull and uninspiring. Anyway, you probably don't want to spend too much time in this hotel, because... More

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The location was great for shopping, eating and public transportation. It was a short walk to everything..I love Buenos Aires I found the space comfortable and quiet except for some street music in the evenings. The location is excellent, with many bars and restaurants within close walking distance to all the main attractions.... More

I stayed twice in this hotel in the last month, in different rooms. The location of the hotel is quite fine at Pueyrredon and more good news is that it is one of the more affordable decent places in the area. Many tourist attractions are nearby and you'll never have a problem getting a cab. However, there is a lot... More

Stayed for 4 nights. Great service from the desk. Rooms were nicely kept and decor was interesting. Not far from the main attractions and close to good restaurants. The area hotel was in is also quite safe, walked home at midnight from the old quarter on a few nights with no drama.

On a recent trip to Buenos Aires, my friend and I stayed at this hotel. While not luxurious, it was modestly priced and well-located in a vibrant section of Recoleta. An unexciting but filling continental breakfast buffet was included as part of the room charge. The hotel was clean and quiet. Overall, perfect for our needs. Best of all, the... More

This is a boutique-ish hotel with charm, but also with challenges: a lot of noise in room; the room was cold, and I didn't see any heating; breakfast not good at all (artificial 'juice', cold coffee, little choice). The lift is small and not reliable. On the other hand, the location is good.

We stayed here twice during a 12 day stay in Argentina, departing between stays for a side trip to Mendoza. Both rooms were clean and had all that you would expect in a European style hotel. These are not to be confused with or compared to American style hotels that generally have bigger rooms & restrooms and have a more... More

I bet there are rooms here with a view, but for our budget, we went cheap and had a view of a roof on a smaller building. The room itself was beautifully decorated and clean, and we were happy with the continental breakfast provided. Overall, this hotel is in a great location and is very nice for the cost. Here... 3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014 via mobile

I have been to Buenos Aires about 15 times and stayed at some city's finest hotels, but on my last stay, back in June, I thought I'd stay near Santa Fe Avenue as I like the area with lots of shops and people. The rooms looked nice and modern from the distance but everything was just a minor face lift.... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
