As retired BA staff, I had a free club ticket to use before the 31st March and decided on Buenos Aires - the only club seat available in the entire world on BA Easter week ! I then went online to book a hotel. This hotel came up with a discount price of £1,500 down to £248 for the 8... More

Great service and great facilities. We weren´t expecting so much. The personnel is very corteous, unlike many other places we have already been in Buenos Aires. Hopefully you´ll have the chance to stay much longer than we have. Highly recommended.

I was only here for a short while but I arrived late at night and the guy working was really friendly and helpful. Exactly what I needed when I was so tired. The hotel was comfortable and I was happy with my stay.

We were attacked by bed bugs upon settling down to sleep. They offered another room and we just checked out. Front desk personnel treated us like we were crazy even after I showed one of them a bug roaming my finger. Hotels.com gave us a credit for the second night but they should also give us credit for that first... More

The best location at recoleta, near touristic points and surrounded by pretty architecture. The brazillian embassy is just a few steps from the hotel. The rooms and breakfast are OK, the bathrooms are old and uncomfortable.

The best location at Recoleta, near touristic points, as the Museo de Bellas Artes, Palecio de Cristal, panteón Recoleta, where you can easily get just walking 10 minutes away. Surrounded by prety coffee shops, tea rooms, restaurants an a big Shoping mall, this hotel combines, vintage decorated confortable rooms, with a delicious brakefast at fair prices.

Fairly good location and delightful lobby with lovely old elevators but from there on everything is very tired and in need of decorating and refurb. The towels and sheets were very worn.Rooms were clean and of a good size but noisy due to poor fitting doors and thin walls noisy outside too! Reception staff were helpful and spoke good English and... More

This hotel looks very impressive. When you get to your room there is a wow factor at first impression but when you look a little closer then the finishing lets the place down. The Bathroom looked luxurious and the shower was indeed very much appreciated as there was a great powerful flow of water. The water power flow for the... More

This good thing about this hotel is the location other than that .... The two men at the front desk were helpful the woman you could say was surly. Free wi-fi in the lobby but pay in the room what are we in 2005. The hotel is a boutique hotel you could say it is kind of shabby chic run... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
