The Alvear Palace Hotel in Buenos Aires is one of those hotels which makes one feel truly privileged to stay in. It is a Grand Hotel in the truest sense of the word. Every aspect of the hotel is as near as faultless as can possibly be! To my mind there is only ONE single shortcoming in this hotel. Unbelievable... More

Stayed at the Alvear Palace for 3 nights in March. Were upgraded to a junior suite. Beautiful room and gorgeous bathroom. Very good breakfast buffet, but wish they had more egg choices included in the complimentary breakfast. Afternoon tea was very nice too. All the staff very courteous and helpful. Very safe neighborhood. Walked in the area around the hotel... More

I called the hotel from the United States prior to our arrival and made several requests which were taken care of by the superb concierges from the Hotel: Alexandro, Esperanza and Fernando! We stayed in an over-the-top suite that reminded us of Le Meurice in Paris, only on a more manageable scale. Public rooms are luxurious and the bar and... More

Wife and I spent three days at the Alvear. The junior suite was spacious with excellent amenities including a very large shower and separate jacuzzi style tub. The staff were all very courteous and spoke excellent English. If you're looking to spend a few nights in a European style luxury hotel, this is it. Marble and silver everywhere, and even... More

I stayed here for two weeks in February on a business trip, and everything was perfection. Located in La Recoleta, a very beautiful, very upscale part of the city, one block from the cemetery of the same name (Evita's shrine is there), this hotel exudes old-school European elegance in every way. The public areas are absolutely glorious, the dining suburb... More

We recently stayed at this hotel on our way to Iguassu Falls and could not have been happier with our choice. We checked in very early and were delighted that it was no problem for the staff who welcomed us to our room right away. I have been staying at the Alvear for more than 10 years. This is an amazing hotel: great city, best neighbourhood, old Europe decor, perfect rooms and service....Quite expensive but not outrageous (unless you have to buy your breakfast if not included) Highly recommended
