Ibis Buenos Aires is clean, comfortable, and its staff, friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. I had purchased breakfast along with my reservation, but learned later that I had to leave earlier than regular breakfast serving hours. To my surprise, I found out that it's a quite common practice at Ibis hotels to serve a reduced, but... More

It is a comfortable place, with a nice staff. The room was clean and the location is perfect You can walk to several interesting places, like Plaza de Mayo and Rua Florida. Enjoy the fairs next to the hotel.

Good location, friendly staff at check in and at breakfast. I tried calling the front desk a few times, no answer, ever. Some hairs in room, walls with numerous scratches. Door to room didn't really close well, it was a bit smashed. This place is showing its age, and I'm not sure any money is being spent on maintenance. All... More

I have stayed there for three times and I am sure there is the best localization in Buenos AIres by lowest price. It is near of La Bombonera, La Boca district, Teatro Colon, 9 de Julio Avenue. The staff is useful and the rooms are clean.

After staying once for 5 days I returned to Ibis Buenos Ayres Congreso Hotel for a 9 days stay. Excellent location near Congress and a short walk to Avenida de Mayo and then Avenida 9 de Julio; four blocks more and you are beside Obelisco. Many restaurants near by, theaters (including Teatro Colon). If you like to walk Casa Rosada... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
