A great hotel with friendly helpful staff. Nice rooms, and an overall well appointed hotel. The rooms could do with better tea & coffee facilities though. A great shuttle service is on offer to take you to and from local dining options.

Lovely hotel in an easy to get to location. Our room was beautiful and tastefully decorated. Staff is warm, friendly and extremely helpful, which is very important when one is not overly familiar with the language. Breakfast buffet was yummy! Great bar which served both light snacks and typical bar menu food. All in all it was an awesome experience.

Hotel was good with all the modern amenities. However what was odd was the washroom. Ours looked directly over the main street with a full length window directly in front of the toilet & commode. The front lobby bar was good & the hotel is an excellent location for shopping

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately I think your comments are not about our hotel since we do not have washrooms looking over the street. Looking foward to welcoming you to our hotel next trip! Regards, Celina Vesprini Front Office Manager More

Stayed here for a week with my husband. We booked on the executive club floor. It was wonderful to have the Executive Lounge just down the hall with free wifi, free breakfast each morning, coffee and tea service available all day long, and free appetizers and cocktails in the evening, as well as a full time concierge at the desk... This hotel , does not loose it's flavor, pleasant staff in reception , bell desk, concierge, lobby bar ok a bit slow in service, ran out of Pizza, on a game night , poor food and beverage planning, great business center , the executive floor well managed , beautiful room, not in Recoleta, but close to Puerto Maderos and local... the location is close to many walking activities. Florida street, a shoppers delight, is less than ten minutes away. you are two blocks away from the 9th of July, the widest boulevard in the world. you are 10 to 15 minutes from the Pink House, 5 minutes past that and you are at Puerto Madera. The hotel staff is awesome... More

It was our final night in Argentina and we had flown into the Jorge Newbury Airport, Buenos Aires with a confirmed reservation at the Intercontinental in the city centre. We quickly departed the airport in a REMIS service taxi and arrived at the hotel entrance fifteen minutes or so later. At the entrance, the greeting was welcoming and we were... More

This is a very nice property, with well appointed rooms and lovely common areas. It is, as pointed out by others, an older hotel which while right downtown is in a location that has really been hit by bad ecenomic times. To be fair, the neighborhood seems to be recovering finally a bit, and the hotel is within walking distance... More

Stayed here over the weekend from May 15-17. Let's start with the good: the staff is fantastic. The front desk, the concierge, the host in the restaurant -- just terrific. In fact, the concierge sent us to an amazing restaurant for a steak dinner. I could kiss that guy on the lips ... it was one of the best meals... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
