We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again...short or long term. The room is spacious, clean, well-appointed...has a balcony, kitchenette if desired, a small sitting area. The location in Recolleta is perfect for visiting and exploring BA. The view of the famous monumental cemetery is spectacular...like a grand sculpture garden...and quiet! Breakfast buffet is astonishing...delicious, fresh and hi quality, abundant.

We stayed in this hotel for the last three nights and chose it for its location and reviews on tripadvisor. At first when I walked in I was a little disappointed; expected it to be a little nicer in the foyer however we were checked in by the great staff, and taken to our room - things improved considerably. Our... More

This hotel is opposite the Recoleta cemetery and the plaza, so the position is very convenient. It is near to many of the Buenos Aires sites. The hotel is not very large but the staff were friendly. Check in was quick and convenient, and handled efficiently. The room was clean and well appointed, but on the small side. The breakfast... More

First, the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very modern and have everything you could need (even a microwave, dishes, fridge, etc), and I highly recommend upgrading to a view of the cemetery. There can't possibly be any other hotel with a better view- sitting out on your room balcony you really feel like you're... More

We really enjoyed this hotel on our two stays there during our recent trip. It was the first hotel at which we stayed when we arrived in the country. We also stayed there later upon our return from Iguazu falls. I think this small hotel is ideal for somewhat-experienced travelers with at least a limited amount of Spanish skills (not... More

My wife and I stayed for one night and got one of the rooms that overlook the cemetery, it was a wonderful and quite unique view. The street that the hotel is actually on is not very busy but there are all sorts of bars, night life, shops and even a shopping mall with a movie theater right around the... More

This is a good choice if you want a jumping off point in Recolta on a mid-range budget. Get a room with a view of the Cemetary (not creepy - the monumental statuary is gorgeous). The best thing for us was the staff - they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful - 5* for them. Our only slight criticism... More

We enjoyed our stay in Sileo Hotel very much, be it for its pleasant staff, the spacious room, the amazing location and beautiful balcony overlooking the cemetery. We did not have time to use the spa, but we really enjoyed breakfast. Even though my rating is 5/5 overall, I have to mention that there were some issues with cleanliness, some... More

My husband & I stayed here during our honeymoon for 3 nights, whilst we were disappointed to not be given a room with a view of the cemetery (the rear of the hotel is over looked very closely by residential blocks), we found the facilities to be clean & comfy, what more do you need from a city break hotel?... The hotel is situated in a great location behind the Recoleta cemetery in an upscale and safe neighbourhood. The room was on the 7th floor, with an open view to the cemetery (not at all spooky :)). It was very spaceful and comfortable. The staff was really helpful at all times. The breakfast buffet was absolutely satisfactory and delicious without... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
