Our family stayed at Sileo Hotel for one week, and all of us loved it. It is in a terrific, quiet location in the Recoleta area of Buenos Aires. It was easy to get around to all the sights in BA from there. More importantly, the staff there were friendly, courteous, and very customer oriented. All of the reception staff,... More

Sure, that the charged rates are far from what hotel offer, the service provide at reception desk, look like they doing a favor to make your check in, actually is a very old build that was refurbished, but not as should, my first and last time in this hotel. Doesn't offer nothing for guest, as far the price is of... More

Ample sized rooms with kitchenette. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Wifi and very good breakfast. Staff is attentive and helpful. I would stay here again. The currently 'really hip' section of town is a 20 min walk away. Only regret: subway map shows a station a block away. BUT it isn't built yet.

The hotel is well localized, very central. It is clean and confortable. it lies in front of the cementery, so in the upper floors you will have a nice view. Service is not so good, pleople are not service minded. breakfast could be more varied.

Hotel Sileo is located behind the famous Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Peron is buried. The rooms are large, with good sized bathroom and balcony. It also has a cooker, kettle and cooking utensils; perfect for times when you don’t want to eat out. Breakfast did not have a variety, just the basic. I noticed this to be the same for... More

This was our 1st visit to this wonderful city, the old conundrum, which area to stay in? After much research we settled on the Recoleta area and the Sileo Hotel, based on Tripadvisor reviews. What a gem this hotel turned out to be. The hotel though small with few amenities is across the road from Recoleta Cemetery though you have... More

The view of the cemetery is perfection if your room faces that side, and it's only a small charge to upgrade (based on availability, of course.) Restaurant and amenities leave a bit to be desired, but the hotel is clean, the staff is nice as helpful -- as a stop through or for a few day stay, this is a... More

The Hotel Sileo was our base for an entire week. Allow me to echo some of the prior reviews. The Sileo is a well run, clean, perfectly located, and a most comfortable hotel. My wife and I stayed in the pent house suite (801) and were amazed at the size, set up, and incredible view from the outdoor balcony that could... More

We spent 3 nights post cruise at this hotel. It is directly behind Recoleta Cemetery. The area is upscale and felt very safe. The hotel is very modern. Beautifully decorated. Interesting art gallery in the basement. The ninth floor has a small pool, two lounge chairs, a few chairs and tables, couple of exercise machines, and the best view of... More

We just spent 3 days and two nights here on a stopover through Mendoza. This is our third boutique hotel in Buenos Aires and it is a tremendous value considering the location in Recoleta, the size of the rooms and how quiet it was considering it's right in the middle of things. We had no problems with water, internet or... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
