This review comes almost a year after we stayed - Sorry for the delay - but I still want to share my experience there. The Baires Soho is in a really good location and the rooms were fine - the suite was a lot better. As there are only a few rooms it is nice and quiet and does feel... More

We immediately felt really welcome by Carla and her team. A well kept place and great location, smack in the middle of Palermo. We got a lot of help on where to go and what to see (and that tango experience) to make our stay in BA that special one.

Our room was on the street side (and I can't say if there are some better), but it was simply impossible to sleep due to the people walking and talking in the street all night long. On top our arrival was really a mess : no sign of the guest house, ringing at the door and calling nobody really aware... More

We read good reviews about this B&B and knew it was in a fantastic location so we were incredibly surprised when we got there and they had no recollection of our booking. We had booked through Hostel World and we confirmed via email to which we received a very warm response from Carla. Upon arrival and after a very long... More

Although the service is excellent and the owner (Carla) is a sweetheart.. remember that this is not a hotel… you have to buzz the bell to actually some one let you in at the house… the room # 5 is way to cold and you have to go out slide the room to get to your "private" in-siute… Breakfast is... I stayed here for just one night, but Carla was the most welcoming and wonderful host. I arrived quite late in the evening, which Carla didn't mind in the slightest. I had to leave again early the next morning and Carla helped arrange a taxi. I also was going to be leaving before breakfast, and I asked Carla if I... More

Stayed for 2 nights in November. Very pleasant house. Owner Carla is very friendly. Location is great. Walking distance to a surprisingly nice shopping and dining area. There is no sign on the door though. You need to look for the house number.Highly recommend.

Stayed in a comfy & spacious room for 4 nights. After reading other reviews we asked for a room away from the street & were given this at no extra cost. This is a great place to stay to get more of a feel for how locals live-it's in a residential area rather than tourist central. There are no signs... More

The property is centrally located in one of the most social and hip areas of Buenos Aires. But what makes this property special is its owner, Carla, and her staff. Upon arrival, once you are properly settled, she will sit you down and give you the lay of the land. She will pull out maps to give you and highlight... More

This B&B was pleasant enough - rooms were fine, staff friendly, location superb. My problem with this place is the exchange rate charged by the hotel. While it appears good value on the various websites (shown in USD), the owner will ask you to pay cash in pesos which, when her own exchange rate is applied, equates to 15% more... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
