This is beautiful place in the central Recoleta área of Buenos Aires. We stayed for an Anniversary night. The room was wonderfully decorated, excellent service, good food in the restaurant. We also got a wonderful couples' massage, arranged by the hotel in another of the romos. The breakfast room is a lovely glass-roofed patio with the best eggs-benedict in town!

With a somehow deja vu from my trip yo Paris on our honeymoon, we stayed at this hotel and it is gorgeous! Every detail is thought of and the french deco and cuisine add a touch of pure sophistication in the middle of the city. Very romantic and excellent service.

My husband and I stayed at Club Frances for 2 nights at the end of March 2015. The location of the hotel is perfect. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The front desk was very helpful. The breakfast was what is expected. It's the 'little things' that were missing. In the bathroom there is no make-up mirror, there were... More

Yes the location is perfect and the rooms are lovely with old world feel but it is the staff which makes this place special and worth the extra cost. Always helpful with advice and making reservations but also beyond that such as holding a bag of city clothes for a week while we fished in Patagonia and letting us have... More

There was a process to finding this hotel. Sure, I checked TripAdvisor but as with any big city that was foreign to me, being in the right neighborhood was half the battle. Since I was also using a travel agent in Buenos Aires to set up some tours, I asked for her opinion. I had found Sandra Gutrejde on a... More

The Hotel Club France's is unique in that it is a functioning club who's members include the society of Buenos Aires with many prominent world figures, such as Charles DeGaulle having visited there. I write this because it says what this hotel is about. It is old and beautiful with large clean rooms , excellent breakfast and a small French... More

I arrived at the Hotel Club Frances after an overnight flight arriving at the hotel around 9:00AM. I was not expecting my room to be ready for me until later but to my surprise, my room was ready. This was just the first pleasant surprise of my stay in this “boutique” hotel. Located in Recoleta area, it is within easy... More

I stayed in other hotels in Buenos Aires and this was by far my least favorite hotel by almost all standards. A very disappointing experience - truly the worst value for money I have ever experienced in all my travels. The room is big but looks nothing like it does in the website pictures! Service is attentive and friendly in... More

Four of us were leaving on an amazing adventure cruise to Antarctica in January and decided to start with a stay ahead of time in Buenos Aires. We found the Hotel Club Frances and have never regretted that decision! The location is wonderful, the staff simply amazing and the rooms were delightful! They went out of their way to ensure... Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
