Great situation in heart of San Telmo; staff always happy to help with advice and endlessly patient! Rooms a little bit dark, but very comfortable and clean. Lots of restaurants nearby and great (huge) Sunday market.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days. We really liked the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and provided all we needed. However, we could hear noise coming from the hallway and other rooms. We also happened to be staying at the hotel at the same time as Australian... More

This place looks fabulous: the interior design, the iron work, the fountain, the beautiful (but very small) lobby, the loft style rooms, etc., but it's so dysfunctional and in many ways uncomfortable. For example: let's start with the loft-style two story rooms: They look great, but the second floor--where the bed is located is so small, you can't have your... More

We stayed here with extended family during March of 2013. The staff were really accommodating, since they held our bags for hours on our last day, after checkout. If you are interested in architecture, I think you would also enjoy the transformation of this property. Our rooms were very cool, with the loft, but I found it still a bit... More

The San Telmo district of Buenos Aires is a nice shabby chic kind of area with cobbles, antique shops, cheap bars and graffiti, not like the upmarket areas a little to the north. This hotel is in a converted 1860s house of the moneyed class with double height wood beam ceilings. My room had been imaginatively converted into something like... More

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We arrived hours ahead of check-in and the staff held our bags while we explored the neighborhood and ate some lunch. When we returned, the bags were already in our charming and cozy room, 206 with a patio view. The staff could not have been nicer, from Juan the operations manager... More

The hotel was a beautiful, comfortable place, with spacious yet cozy rooms, and a very helpful staff. One thing you should pay attention to, however: We booked a Superior room-- and as the hotel is an old building entirely renovated, the rooms can vary a lot between them-- and the room we were given at first was completely different from... This place is a real gem. It is in an old building in the heart of San Telmo with a modernist interior. My room was bi-level: living room and bathroom on the first level, bed on the second. The modernist design was striking: I photographed it out of sheer pleasure upon walking into the room. It was also very comfortable.... More

A well situated hotel, imaginatively and tastefully refurbished with well appointed rooms and friendly attentive staff. Some noise from nearby bars at night so best to ask for an upper storey room at the rear of the hotel.

I was looking for a place in San Telmo, walking around on foot to see what was available when I walked by this hotel. I walked in and requested a visit to one of their rooms and was shown an ingenious loft space complete with a sitting area. I was actually staying at a nearby hotel and thought to myself... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to San Telmo Luxury Suites. Many years ago, when this dream started, we thought of you: a guest interested on San Telmo’s neighborhood, willing to walk through its cobbled streets, discover and explore its restaurants, traditional bars, markets and magic antique stores. But specially interested on experiencing the unique sensation of living at a typical San Telmo ‘casona’: a place where secrets and history are revealed in every corner. With a lot of love and dedication, we have restored this building, and given back its value to every single little detail. Our specialists worked side by side with the Historical Preservation Association; a relationship that ended with the declaration of this house as a Historical Monument of Buenos Aires City. And today, from the very heart of our Barrio, we introduce you to San Telmo Luxury Suites: a solid bridge between past and present, to the lovers of excellent service and comfort who prefer a more private and fascinating alternative for their stay in Buenos Aires. ... more   less
