The hostel has a very cheap feel to it that just makes you feel unclean. The staff is not helpful in anyway and does not do their best to make you feel at home at all. The room we stayed in was the 3 person private Nr. 16 with private bathroom which, in terms of hygiene, was quite nice. The... More

Stayed in many hostels throughout Latin America and this was by far my worst choice. I had read the bad reviews and chose it anyway due to its location which is the one and only thing that recommends it although it's still 5 blocks from the main road. Stayed in the double bunk dorm room right off the kitchen. Asked... More

Good nice small hostel with really nice, friendly and helpfull staff! The rooms were nice. We stayed in a double with shared bathroom and unfortunatly there was a problem with the gas heater... So with no hesitation we got "upgraded" to a better room. That was very nice indeed. The location in palermo is also perfect. The prices are quite... More

lets start with the seamingly homemade bunk beds that were advertised as a twin room. The bed had slats so wide (this was not a standard bed, it looked and sounded like a rickety bunk bed you'd find in a council cleanup, then with the addition of a few slats)the 'mattress' fell through as you tried to sleep. This coupled... More

It's more like a small family guest-house than hostel (the owners live in the same building). It has a small garden-patio with a fire place. Location is pleasant - in a good and relatively green neighborhood, just few blocks away from Plaza Serrano. The staff was very positive and eager to socialize. On the downside: the rooms could have been... More

Very friendly staff and owner, always willing to help. Clean, friendly and relaxing place in best location of Buenos Aires. Walking distance from local station and supermarkets. Close to nice chafes and restaurants.

Mt Soho is small, nice hostel in a lovely neighbourhood. I spent two weeks there on my vacations in Buenos Aires and liked this place a lot, because the people here become like a family and made that place so special!!! Everyone, Thank you so much for everything!! I really loved staying with you! :-*

This hostel is well located and the staff are nice. The hostel itself and the rooms are poor though. We stayed in the Beatles room which was a reasonable size but had no windows, was grubby, shabby and the bathroom was tiny. The owner also tried to charge us a ridiculous exchange rate to pay in pesos and not dollars.... More

Thank you so much for your review - the guests feed-backs are very important to us, in order to better understand the guest's experience and improve our services and facilities. I wanted to like it, but it just wasn't that great :( The people are very nice and the location is good, but the accommodations fell way short of my expectations. I'd made a reservation for the women's dorm. It was confirmed, but then I missed my bus and emailed them right away that I wouldn't arrive until the following... More

We stayed here a few weeks ago. Had a great time- the hostel has a great small outdoor area that encourages everyone to mingle. We had a few singers at the time that we stayed so it was good fun. It's a small hostel- we were moved a few times due to mix up with the booking, some rooms are... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
