Nice hotel, situated near Microcento an San Telmo. The room I had was very spacious and clean. I had a room to the yard and it was very quiet. The staff kind and helpful at all times. I arrived before noon and was able to check-in into the room long before the usual time. I didn't have breakfast in the... More

This renewed hotel close to San Telmo, gives you a very good cost-benefit ratio. Rooms are clean and comfortable, service is ok. Main drawback: breakfast. No fresh fruit, no low fat dairies no quality delis. Coffee is not good, orange juice artificial.

The only faux-pas of this hotel should be the absolute lack of power outlets in the room. The only one available is far away from the bed. But... The reservation mentioned a bathtub and a room with a view. There was neither. But I'm not fussy about it, so let that be. The point is my request for an extra... More

This hotel has everything - a great price, nice location, Metro and Bus Metro really close. Great Staff - nice large room. We would stay here again for sure. Baska Restaurant is round the corner, if you are worried about walking at night, this is a great place and really close.

In a recent trip to Buenos Aries, we stayed at the Scala hotel. It was wonderful, and it was very reasonable. It was $99.00 a night. The room was lovely, spacious and spotless. The staff was very helpful re suggesting things to see and arranging for a bus tour of this wonderful city. It is located near special sites like... More

The hotel lobby and rooms are super clean. The rooms are spacious, have comfy and big beads plus a big flatscreen tv and a small seating area in front of the window. AC works, safe in room, large and nice bathroom. Its a good 4 star hotel at a good price (paid about 75usd/68euro). Just the breakfast isnt as other... More

The hotel was Clean, Quite, and the Staff was very helpful. Great price, large rooms, safe and very walkable city. I would definitely stay here again. You can easily walk to restaurants and indoor market for fresh fruit.

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
