Beautiful hotel and wonderful customer-service. I had the opportunity of staying at this fantastic hotel on business from 17/5/15 - 21/5/15 in room 501 and the experience could not have been better. This was my second trip to Buenos Aires in the last six months. unfortunately the first time I made the mistake of staying at a different hotel- Melia... More

I went to Buenos Aires without having a recommendation for a hotel. I found the Hotel Mio online and from photos and some reviews, I booked and said my prayers.... The neighborhood is a posh but mellow section of Buenos Aires, with cafes, restaurants, and shopping. The location was less than two blocks from the Recoleta Cemetery and church, and... More

Just at 5 minutes by foot of the Recoleta garden and church, you will find a discret but very charming hotel; Mio, excellent deco and design made of wood and noble materials, the room was big, very well lighted, with a particularly well thought organization: shower and separate restroom + a bath in the center of the room, strange but... We stayed at Mio at the end of our two week trip around Argentina. The hotel is extremely stylish and serene, with a modern minimalistic interior. The doors are crafted from wine barrels and each room has a feature bath carved out of a single piece of wood. We found the hotel when reading the Wallpaper City Guide to Buenos... More

We spent our wedding night and we had a great time. Everybody was kind and thoughtful. From the front desk to the spa assistant. Great service, comfortable rooms, excellet breakfast, everything was perfect.

I stayed here for one night in March 2015. Front desk staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English well. The room was large, modern decor, clean and comfortable. I was able to get a late checkout (paid extra) to be able to stay until I needed to leave for the airport for my evening flight home. Front desk secured a... More

My husband and I have had a wonderful experience with Mio Buenos Aires Hotel in Recoleta. We travel back and forth from the USA to Buenos Aires while conducting our businesses in the USA over the phone and Internet. The staff is amazing and fluent in English. They catered to our every need with a smile and true warmth. The... More

Stayed on a work trip in a suite. Room was outstanding. Comfortable. Attractive. Nice location if you like the high-end feel. Staff and restaurant were excellent. If you value an aesthetic experience and prefer boutique over chain this is a great choice. The carved wood tubs are a great signature item.

A new boutique hotel just down the road from the Recoleta Cemetery (where Eva Peron/Evita is buried). Each room has a handmade wooden bath, which feels very special. Rooms are very well appointed. There's a spa with a small pool, gym and steam room on 8th floor and you can get massages. The breakfast was lovely. The only thing that... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
