We stayed five nights with Ada and Valentyn. They are both so gracious and helpful. The rooms are immaculate, the breakfast plentiful with home made bread, and the location is very central--the San Telmo Sunday market is just steps from the door. But it is truly the hosts who make this such a great place to stay. Valentyn helped us... More

If you prefer a stylish and relaxed B&B right in the centre of Buenos Aires (without a TV and telephone in your room) and a very hospitable host, who prepares an exquisite breakfast with very tasteful homemade bread, then La Perla is the place for you. As it was for us during 6 days. We absolutely agree with all the... More

Stayed 8 nights with Ada and Valentyn. They were perfect hosts.Ada's Engish is a bit limited but Valentyn more than compensates. He spent time at every breakfast to chat and discuss our plans for the day with helpful advice, not something you would get staying in a hotel. The apartment was immaculate and having to share a bathroom did not present any problems.Thje apartment... I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Rooms are large and immaculate. Breakfasts are great; Valentyn makes the bread, Lattes were superb. He was were very helpful, and quick to respond to our every need. The highlight was going with Ada and Valentyn to their Tango Club. It is in an outstanding location, within walking distance to many... More

A lovely bed and breakfast in the heart of Buenos Aires. I spent 4 nights with Ada and Valentyn in January after a lengthy and tiring trip in Mexico, and I enjoyed it very much. The house is a peace heaven, with very comfortable and nicely arranged rooms. The hosts go to great length to make your stay enjoyable, taking... More

Comfortable, clean and well located. Great breakfasts with good Lattes; clean rooms and best mattresses. European flair. Reasonable. Strongly recommended. Experiencing local Tango nights with hosts. Right in Micro Center.

Fantastic B&B. Never found better. All the recommendations were true. We stayed there for 4 nigths. On the New Year's Eve we were invited by Ada and Valetyn to go out with them and 5 other guests to a restaurant, having a unforgettable evening The hosts are indeed very hostile and helpful. Caring for their guests. We will absolutely recommend... More

This is a real jewel in the midst of this hustle and bustle center of BA. I very much appreciated the personal care and the helpfulness. I felt kind of 'home' there. I loved the building with it's high ceilings. Everything was very clean. Petra

I had a fantastic stay here. It was wonderful to have a safe, clean and welcoming place to stay. The breakfast was delicious(especially the fresh made juices and homemade bread). The location is a great starting point to walk, bus or take the subway all over the city. Ada & Valentyn were so nice and willing to help you planout... More

Having stayed with my husband at Ada and Valentyn's on 3rd and 4th December prior to joining a cruise, I am not going to repeat all the other 5 star comments made about this Bed and Breakfast because in our experience, they are all true. What I want to say is - forget all those fancy, luxurious hotels and see... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
