5 blocks from Puerto Madero, 1 block from Florida Street and a 10 minute walk to St. Martins Plaza, this smallish hotel is comfortably 'functional'. A good size room with double beds that facilitated a great nights sleep, the breakfast was fresh and plentiful if fairly uncreative. There are few public areas ; the pool on the 12th and top... This was a wrong choice due to mistrusting website reviews. Sure, they have very spacious rooms but rooms are in rundown situation, in my room 3 light bulb out of 10 were not working but they probably don't care till all lights are out. Internet failed on the second day and never repaired, management showed no concern as internet is... More

This is a boutique hotel at a great location, 1 block walking distance to one of Buenos Aires' main shopping street. Staff is warm, but maybe it's because I had a local tour guide. However, they do not help you to hail taxi because there is only front desk staff at the lobby, no concierge / doorman service. Elevator is... More

We stayed at the Galerias in 2012 and enjoyed it very much. This year we stayed at the Galerias for a total of 2 weeks on 3 different occasions between mid February and mid March 2015. The property has deteriorated somewhat since our initial visit. There was mold in a few of the 3 rooms we stayed in and they... More

We arrived here after a cruise. It is very near the Recoleta area. In a good walking area. The Wifi worked well, although a couple of repairs in the room were unprofessionally completed. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. There was a bathtub and a hair dryer. The staff, except for one receptionist, were very nice and... More

Stayed there for only 2 nights, unfortunately. New and clean the rooms are very comfortable. The bathrooms are big and equipped with shower, bath and a good hair dryer. The wi-fi is free and works better close to the door of the room. The hotel has at the rooftop a small gym, sauna (if you want to use it, notify... More

Front desk staff want to sell ticket for tango show with 45% more expensive than the actual price. If you do not buy it, the next day, they'll not call a taxi for you.In general they are behaving vulgarly and priggish. WiFi is a big lie. Most of the time it doesn't work. Hotel is located in a great area,... More

The hotel is located in microcentro of capital federal. The location is strategic when you just want to move by foot from one attraction to the other in downtown. The rooms are spacious and clean. Ask for the rooms in the lower floors as some of the rooms in the upper part of the building has humidity and mold issues.... More

It`s the second time that I went to this hotel because it has a very good location, great attendance and wide rooms. It`s located one block from Florida, near the money exchange, subway and Puerto Madero. The breakfast is excellent and everyone is very polited and easy to attend. The 2 small issues was the internet at the room that... More

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
