This was a wonderful place to stay, service excellent, safe environment, nearby public transportation, helpful staff always providing us with specific instructions about where to go and how to get there on public transport which is very easy and well organized in Buenos Aires. We were able to travel to all tourist destinations in a short amount of time. Staff arranged laundry... More

This is a small, older hotel that shows some signs of age. The location was about a15 minute walk from the Centro area and about a 15 minute walk in the other direction to the Recoleta area. Two blocks from the subway. The staff was very informative and helpful. The rooms were clean, furnishings were minimal and the bathrooms were... More

A B&B is supposed to be a big house with some extra rooms that are rented by the owners with a relaxed personal service. In this case they had more than 20 rooms with numbers. When we first got there, the room that was assigned to us was dirty, the lamp on the roof was full of dead bugs and... More

Luco is in an excellent location for people who enjoy walking. A very safe neighbourhood close to the Faculty of Medicine. There are lots of interesting restaurants nearby, as well as grocery stores and banks. It is also handy to the Subte linea D. All the staff at Luco were very friendly and helpful. They arranged a car to pick... More

We stayed here for 4 nights around new year. The place has just opened and it was difficult to find a room in BA. Luco is a small family b&b and the owners really did everything to make our stay enjoyable, nothing we asked was too much. They even arranged free tickets to a club to celebrate the new year.... Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
