We've been there one night...I would say tooooo simple. Very noicy place...you could hear everything. They stay awake till long hours, no respect for other guests. We had a problem with the booking...it was non refundable with Expedia and they've tried to charge us again on our arrival. We had to make a long distance phone call from our mobile... More

Not particularly good but not bad either. A bit run down, simple breakfast but nice enough people. I arrived early morning and had to wait for hours before I could go into my room but I was made comfortable on the sofa so no problem.

If you want to sleep well, this is not the place! Very loud! We had a room facing the street and it was like we were sleeping outside!! Loud noises from the street and the trains passing by all night!! The room was nice, clean and the bed was confortable but the bathroom needs remodeling and freshening up! The welcoming... More

The lady SEEMED very nice at first, very polite. The second morning we stayed there when we asked her if taking the subway was safe she said that it would be better to leave valuable jewelry behind. She even asked me if my necklace was made of gold. Since she seemed trustworthy and because I did not want to draw... More

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights in December 2011 and we stayed in a double room. The bathroom and shower was quite small, but the room was clean and tidy, the maids cleaned it everyday and the breakfast was a good selection of fruits, juices and cereals.

I stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful, small hotel. A huge comfortable bed, a delicious breakfast and lovely staff made it very, very difficult to leave.

What a find? I came across this charming little hotel by luck. I don't think they do much advertising but they still seem to keep themselves with full house. Obviously, word of mouth from those that know. This is the third time I have traveled to Buenos Aires in the past two year. Last year I discovered this little treasure... More

The best thing about this place is the price--and perhaps the location. We were there a week. You arrive and the manager or owner is there. She takes your money and gives you your keys and tells you how to get in and out. Other than someone giving you what they call 'breakfast' in the morning, you're then on your... More

First of all I found the rates if you booked directly with the hotel very competitive. Wasn't sure what I would find when I got there, but I was pleasantly surprised. First I was greeted by the owner/staff who were very very friendly and helpful; there were many times during my stay I felt as though I was home or... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
