Given the location of Trianon and the charges, the Tiranon Residence Recoleta is a good value if you are going as a large family. It is located in Recolata, just a few minutes walk from the famous cemetery and mall/shopping area. Plenty of cafes and a active neighborhood make it an interesting location. The breakfast was included for us and... More

The hotel is located in Recoleta, a downtown residential neighborhood in Buenos Aires. It is an area of great historical and architectural interest. Our apartment features a spacious living and dining room, 2 bedrooms, dressing rooms, 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The only complain we had during our stay was the Internet coverage and speed: it was too... More

There were only 2 problems, and they were very minor: 1) One morning, the maids only cleaned one of the 2 rooms. 2) The elevator only fits 3 people (very few for a hotel) and its door sensors are super sensitive. The 3 people have to be almost squished. Other than that, it's extremely comfortable, the food is delicious and... More

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment for 3 days. The location of this apartment hotel is great and the apartment is well designed. However the facilities in the kitchen needs improvement. No coffee maker, no wine glasses etc. when you are on a holiday you expect to have these available!!!! The concierge also was not very helpful. As tourists... More

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment at Trianon. It had loads of space and was nicely furnished. We even had our own little balcony, however not much of a view. It is in a nice location for walking and getting around. This place is perfect for family or group travel.

If you're traveling with families, this is a good value. Recoleta is a very posh area, and this hotel is a nice and affordable option. Our apartment was enormous, with a nice, big balcony, full-sized kitchen, living room and 2 large bedrooms and bathrooms. I don't know that anything can prepare you for how old it is, though. I'd bet... More

When traveling in family or groups larger than four people, you have to get two rooms in any hotel. Doing so in the posh Recoleta neighborhood (is there any other place to be in BsAs?) can be somewhat daunting for your wallet (the Four Seasons rate in a last-minute reservation attempt was 3,500 USD for two rooms, two nights). Luckily,... More

The location is superb, good restaurants near by and close to downtown. The staffis competent and friendly. The facilities are way too old, realatively well maintained, but It does not feel cozy at all. Even the gym, that looks newer, still has its flaws, like no remote control for the TV and no towels available for the work-out. Inside the... More

We last stayed in 1985. Good to see the elevators had been renewed and that they now provided a good breakfast. Very good location. The room (apartment) seemed not to have changed much but we prefer space to luxury; the space is huge and includes kitchen and living room. Very comfortable stay. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
