The location of the Algodon Mansion couldn't have been better. Recoletta is a beautiful area of the city: it has tree lined streets, cafes, and restaurants. It is a welcomed respite from busy BA and an easy taxi ride to Palermo and other districts. The hotel is small , the rooms lovely (mattresses are very comfortable and very large), and... More

In the "Beverly Hills" district of Buenos Aires... Recoleta. Beautiful French Style Architecture for the mansion and most of this luxury district. Algodon Mansion is with butler style service, very nice rooms, and the bathrooms are HUGE! Restaurant and their own wines.

For our second stop in BA, we stayed at Algodon Mansion, which is another Relais & Chateaux hotel and was very good. The service from the lady on Reception, Camilla, and her male colleague (Leonardo perhaps?) was very personal. Camilla made a huge effort on our first evening to book some good restaurants for us and we really appreciated both... More

What can I say.....we loved it! We stayed at the Mansion for 5 nights and cannot say enough nice things about the hotel and the staff. Everyone takes pride in their work and make all of the guests feeling incredibly special. Our butler Hernan Sosa was the best! He wrote to us prior to arriving in Buenos Aires and made... More

We spent six nights at this hotel. The location is excellent, lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby in the Recoleta district. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend this hotel as a base for exploring this amazing city.

I wish the Algodon Mansion group would open additional hotels in all the cities on my travel list. Our stay was one of our best. What sets this hotel apart from others was its service. It was as though we had this full staff the kept track of our comings, goings, activities, and needs. They were proactive and beyond helpful... More

This place is fabulous-from the location to the hotel, the ambience and the incredible staff. The beds were heavenly and make a Westin bed pale in comparison. The entire staff from our Butler Hernan, Sebastian, Robertino and the incredible Natala, our wine Sommelier, were extremely knowlegeable, friendly and helpful. Another added bonus is that they have their own vinyards in Mendoza,... More

We had a fantastic visit for 4 days over the New Year Holiday. Check in was smooth and we were assigned Room 1, an Algodon Royale Suite that far exceeded our expectations in size, style and accoutrements. It was more like a high end luxury apartment complete with dining room, loaded wine rack, steam room shower, large soaking tub and... More

I stayed at the Aldogon Mansion in January and was extremely pleased by the service, the generously sized suites and the wonderful staff, particularly Leonardo. Everything I had arranged in advance (transfers to and from the airports, a private city tour with a fabulous tour guide, a visit to MACBA ( the contemporary art museum) with a surprise private tour... Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
