I've just returned from a great trip around Argentina and stayed at this little place whilst I was in BA. The perfect place really. It was a 25 minute walk to Plaza Italia (Japanese garden, botanical garden, zoo) where you could catch a subway. The nearest subway is 5-10 minute walk away and easy to get around BA. So cheap... This was my second time at Querido, a charming little hotel in the quieter neighborhood of Villa Crespo. Rooms are new, comfortable, clean and well-equipped (wifi connection and safe). Staff are friendly and helpful (they also exchange money at good rates). Breakfast is delicious (the La Serenissima dulce de leche is a must). Can't wait for a third visit, hopefully... More

This small hotel in Villa Crespo is an amazing and rather cheap place to stay in Buenos Aires. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is delicious (try the dulce de leche) and the people are very helpful. Don't feel shy about asking information about anything, they will try to get you an answer. It is located near Palermo and... More

This is one of the discoveries that someone makes just by chance. We went for a weekend in Buenos Aires and a friend recommended it. In few words: well located, quite, small, very good home made breakfast, clean and friendly staff. It is a renovated building, so our room was small, but good enough for us. I totally recommended if... More

Thoroughly agree with all the rave reviews - we came here because of them and they are all true. Querido is a B&B with no pretensions to be a hotel. It seems simple, but actually has everything you need, and more. The owner and staff are super friendly and kind, they go the extra mile to help and advise on... More

I stayed at Querido for 2 nights upon flying back from Patagonia- it was the quiet, clean atmosphere i was hoping for! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious! i found this to be situated perfectly within the city- a short walk from palermo and 5 blocks from the subter- making it safe, comfortable and... Great bed and breakfast in nice area of Buenos Aires! Very hospitable and friendly staff, trying to make you feel at home. After arriving, we got many good tips from Alastair, for restaurants, bars, things to see, etc. in the area! We especially liked the Sarkis restaurant and the wine bar, go there if you have the chance. The room... More

How do you create the perfect B n B? You take a site in a quiet area, knock down the old building and replace it with a purpose designed boutique B and B making sure there are lovely balconies, a restful courtyard and rooms in which the bathrooms have proper space and the doors all fit. You also make sure... More

I can only agree with all the rave reviews I have read about Alistair and Marianna's wonderful B&B. I came after riding across the Andes and then staying on an estancia. It was great to find everything beautifully done, simple, clean, fresh, great sheets and fluffy white towels. Delicious breakfasts with lots of fresh fruit, croissants, lashing of good coffee.... I can't say enough good things about Querido. My daughter and I stayed here for ten days in January and had a wonderful time. The B and B is located in a lovely area with lots of shopping and restaurants close by. There is a grocery, pharmacy, and drop off laundry all within two blocks. It is also an easy... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
One of the most important benefits of staying at Querido is the personalised service of its owners, Mariana and Alastair, an Anglo-Brazilian couple, and long term residents of Buenos Aires. At Querido you are attended either in English, Spanish or Portuguese directly by Mariana and Alastair, a couple that know Buenos Aires intimately, and who love to share there knowledge with their guests. Querido is a newly built B&B especially designed to receive guests, and with all the comfort that you need after day of sightseeing in Buenos Aires. The rooms are warm and comfy, and each detail was planned so that our guests can relax and feel at home. Querido is located in a residential street, in Villa Crespo, an up and coming neighbourhood that manages at the same time to maintain its traditional local feel of a ‘barrio’ or ´neighbourhood’. Only a 10 minute walk away is the fashionable Palermo Soho area, well known for its trendy bars, excellent restaurants and boutique shopping. ... more   less
