Just spent five nights in one of the apartments (milonga ). Spacious, well-appointed, balcony, great location and way less expensive than the boutique hotels in the area. The folks who run the business are a delight to work with. Responsive and reliable. If you're an independent traveler, this is the place to stay.

My mom and I rented the Skytango studio apartment (9th floor of the Terrazas de Uriarte building on Uriarte between Paraguay and Guatemala) for two weeks, and it was perfect! Short (5-10 min. walk) to the nearest metro station, parks, botanical gardens, zoo, Plaza Serrano (wonderful artisans' market on the weekends), and really fantastic restaurants (a few minutes' walk from... With friends we stayed at "Terrazas de Uriarte" a well managed service appartment, in a great location in Palermo closed to restaurants and Metro station; First of all the appartment we selected was very well appointed, a modern design functional and very comfortable for a week long stay; Dario who manages the place spared no efforts to make our first... We spend 3 nights in this modern styled appartement. We had a appartment in the 9th floor. The location (Uriarte) is very good as you get in few minutes to all important locations in Palermo. You can't hear any traffic from this appartment but the nights were still quite noisy because of dog's, alarms and loud neighbours.

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
