Stayed at PAX in 2010 and returned in 2014 to see if things were still as cheap and fun. Not only had the place stayed the same, but most of the staff had also stayed on after four years. Good location, walking distance of the markets/restaurants in San Telmo, Obelisco, Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada. It's also just around the... More

A great cheap hostel in the middle of San Telmo. Staff are friendly and the reception is open 24hrs. The rooms are large and have air conditioning. The hostel has good security and there is a Bar in basement which is handy. Breakfast is not that good. There is a party vibe about the place.

This was a cheap place to stay, and I felt like I got what I paid for. The dorm was pretty big and there wasn't a lot of space, but it was perfectly sufficient. The breakfast was ok, but the basement (where it was served) was a bit gloomy. But no major complaints. Overall, it was good value for money.

I really enjoyed my time at Pax hostel. The staff were helpful and really friendly! Very easy to meet friends here because of the bar area which has some fun nights on too. Liked the area, and it's really close to the metro station. I recommend this place to everyone.

This is surely one of the cheapest places you will find in Buenos Aires and for what you pay, it does the job. Don't expect cleanliness, luxury or a dead central location and you will be satisfied. The staff are welcoming and happy to help out in anyway - beer pong on offer, drinks together, recommendations for nights out /... More

My first time in PAX was in January and we just got back. Pax is not a party hostel but it's definitely for drinkers. So if you don't want to get a beer and chat... forget it, not your place. They organize activities almost every night in the basement, pizza, empanadas, beer pong games and more. The beds are comfy,... More

This hostel is one of the cheapest we found in BA and close to San Telmo, so don't expect to much. It just barely worth the money. We took the double bed room ensuite, which was alright, but the rest of the hostel was just terrible : no light in the toilets (or toilet doesn't work), very dark places, breakfast... More

The hostel is really cool, good staffs, good place to make friends, the dorms are clean, good bathrooms. Anyway is a really good place and well located! The Wifi in the rooms works very well, the breakfast is decent, they have a really good price for drinking in the hostel.

Room- We stayed in a private room located next to the reception and had to walk by reception each time we needed the restroom. Wifi in the rooms was good. Room in general was basic and a bit cramped. Food- Very basic breakfast. Bread, jams and coffee. Not enough seating area at breakfast time. Lucky we were there off season!... More
