We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It was our first time to Buenos Aires, and we couldn't have asked for a better location. So many shops, restaurants and bars are on your doorstep. It was also walking distance to pretty much everything, and we were able to explore all of the sights that we wanted to see ok... More

After some time I returned to Buenos Ayres with my Family and we stayed at Íbis Buenos Ayres Obelisco Hotel for a 7 days stay. Excellent location and a short walk to Obelisco and Avenida 9 de Julio. Many restaurants and theaters (including Teatro Colon) nearby. If you like to walk the Casa Rosada and the Cabido is near (about... More

The hotel is ubicated in Av. Corrientes which is a nice theater and restaurant area, it is the best location to get to see the city, close to main attractions. The hotel instalations are nice, the rooms are very small but confortable if you are not going to spend much time at the hotel. They offer a good buffet breakfast... More

A few minitues walk to the Obelisco in the Center of Buenos Aris, 1 min walk to the nearest subway. This is a excllent Ibis in the Center of the city. Freindly staff who are happy to make a recommendation where to find the best of the city. With the subway acess so close you have able to explore the... More

The Ibis chain hotels offer a good price/quality value and much the same can be said for the Buenos Aires Obelisco hotel. The breakfast offers everything from cereals to eggs and pastries and various kinds of bread. It's central location with many restaurants nearby makes it a pleasant place to stay. I would certainly recommend the hotel to friends.

I stayed at the Ibis Obelisco for 6 nights. This is a typical ibis hotel with economy rooms and amenities, yet well designed and comfortable. The hotel is well run, staff are friendly and competent, wifi was reliable, the rate was good value, and the hotel is centrally located. Recommended.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Ibis Obelisque and were very happy with this choice. Concerning the rooms, they are clean and functional as could be expected from an Ibis for a fair price. Our room on the eighth floor was freshly renovated and quiet while it was not too big. The reception staff was helpful too. What is... More

Very well located in Av. Corrientes where all the theaters and restaurants are open until very late. A small hotel which is exactly the same as every Ibis hotel around the world. Breakfast buffet included. No complains. Happy with the experience.

One always know what to expect form an Ibis Hotel, and this one is not different: smallish, clean room, friendly staff. The hotel location is excellent, making it easy to get around the city. Good budget hotel in Buenos Aires!

Staying in San Nicolas

Neighborhood Profile
San Nicolas
Immersed in the sound of honking horns and the footsteps of busy office workers, the Microcentro area of San Nicolás is where visitors will encounter the true hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires, walking down streets lined with office buildings and banks. The financial district is well-known for its vibrant atmosphere and unstoppable rhythm during office hours. After dark, the hubbub migrates to Corrientes Ave., where theater lovers might start their evening at a play and end it in one of the many traditional pizzerias nearby. During the day, Corrientes is known for its many bookshops and classic cafés, which are located just minutes away from some famous landmarks, like the Obelisco, Avenida 9 de Julio, and the Teatro Colon.
