We booked into this hotel last min. Being a backpacker this was a luxury treat. The receptionist Matt was a great help in showing us where to go and what to avoid. He went beyond his job to ensure we felt comfortable and ensuring we'd have a great time in BA The rooms are nice and clean Internet is great... More

Made a late change to this hotel and I am very glad that I did. This was in a great location to the city centre and close to all the sights and neat things to see. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful who went the extra step to assist with your requests or enquiries. Room was beautiful and incredibly comfortable.... More

Loved this small hotel, with it's lovely period furniture, sweeping staircase and high ceilings. The location is perfect to walk where you want in Recoleta. Just grab your map and go. The shops are wonderful as are the restaurants, bars and cafes. All at your door. Our room was quite nice, spacious, TV, desk, fridge, safe & opening window.....thank goodness... More

We spent a few days here and we were supposed to change our hotel after that but decided to stay, since we liked it so much. The staff is very friendly and they have big rooms. The environment is also very quiet.

Rooms are terrible! Climate is changable only at the desk (you need to aks for it everytime at the reception). Rooms are very tiny. Very noisy (fitness centre in front). Some part of the walls (in the room were starting to be used). We-fii present in the common spaces only. we remained 3 hours before escaping. Location is limit: not... More

Location is excellent, very close to Avenida Santa Fe, one of the main avenues in the city, Accommodations are clean and comfortable, and the staff is good. The price is fair. I certainly would stay there again!

This was much better than I imagined. A French style, fairly small hotel. Rooms were nicely decorated, clean, quite modern. Price was very reasonable (about half of what the same hotel would cost in a major American or Canadian city). Service was friendly and helpful and English speaking. The location is not the most touristy area, but that's okay, you... More

We stayed here four nights and we had the best time in the hotel! The staff is so helpful and the owner of the hotel - Seif - is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He was so helpful in everything... The city, where to go, how to go there, recommendations! The hotel itself is simple and beautiful.... More

This is a good hotel in a nice position, a neighborhood that is busy but not extremely noisy where you can find most anything you need in local shops. Fine room, free (and working) wifi connection, and above all a marvellous breakfast with all kind of sweet and salad food. Price perfectly adequate.

It was good hotel, good value for money. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious, large beds, beautiful public spaces, most of staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good. Still some things need to be improved: we asked for double bed, receptionist confirmed again during check-in about double bed, but we got twin beds (not big problem, by the way... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
