The hotel as such is nice but our stay was horrible. They took out the money as soon as we booked (weeks in advance of our stay) we had to ask every day for airco to be turned on (and then call again because they did not after asking the first time). They made a photo copy of the credit... More

I've made a non-refundable reservation by mistake one month ahead of my effective stay through Booking.com. Although management confirmed that they were happy to cancel my reservation, it was not willing to put in writing and in the end they charged me the entire amount!!!! Simply CROOKS. Good luck if you book with them

Really surprised by other travelers comments!. They ask you to pay in advance, now I know why. First night the safety box didn't work, so next day the changed me to another room, OK. I stayed for four nights. Three of them without elevator, air conditioned (Buenos Aires temperature was about 33-40º degrees), wifi and TV. The staff useless and... More

This was my second visit to this hotel. It's a beautiful building, and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is okay, nothing special but good enough. The location is great and within easy walking distance from many interesting sights. I'd have given more stars, except for two things. The first: the safe in my room was not functional, and I... Good cost x benefit, nice and spacious room, shower not vey good, breakfast ok, well located - close to subway station and main avenues with stores, cafes, restaurants. For the second visit to Buenos Aires I've chosen this hotel, close to atractions I didn't visit the first time . for a first visit I would recomend staying downtown.

I went with my husband and stayed 6 days. We always go to this hotel as we feel at home. The breakfast room is beautiful, the room are not big but comfortable as well as the bathroom. Very clean and neat. The location is excellent, close to many stores and coffee shops, just 4 blocks from Recoleta and Patio Bullrich... More

We booked into this hotel last min. Being a backpacker this was a luxury treat. The receptionist Matt was a great help in showing us where to go and what to avoid. He went beyond his job to ensure we felt comfortable and ensuring we'd have a great time in BA The rooms are nice and clean Internet is great... More

Made a late change to this hotel and I am very glad that I did. This was in a great location to the city centre and close to all the sights and neat things to see. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful who went the extra step to assist with your requests or enquiries. Room was beautiful and incredibly comfortable.... More

Loved this small hotel, with it's lovely period furniture, sweeping staircase and high ceilings. The location is perfect to walk where you want in Recoleta. Just grab your map and go. The shops are wonderful as are the restaurants, bars and cafes. All at your door. Our room was quite nice, spacious, TV, desk, fridge, safe & opening window.....thank goodness... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
