As you can see in the photos, the hostel is very cute. The staff was kind and accomodating and had recommendations for every questions I asked about food and travel. The bathrooms were clean. They showers had caddies to hold your things and towels were included in the price of the room. The vibe was very laid back and somewhat... More

Closed from the metro (Aguero and Pueyrredon). At the center between Palermo where the nightlife is, and the center where the majority of touristics places are. The owner is straight on his shoes, very friendly. The hostel is clean, bathroom as well. A pretty roof top with a bbq, very nice for begin parties and meet other guests. Only bad... More

My sister and I spent two or three nights here and absolutely loved our experience from the start! Alberto was very helpful and patient, a really good guy. The hostel was clean, well organized, and comfortable. The breakfast included warm medialunas, coffee, cereal and milk- it was fantastic! We have been to a few other hostels in BA, and they... More

Spent 6 days here, in October 2015. Met a few travellers in Puerto Iguazu who had stayed here as well, and recommended the place. The location (in Recoleta) is really convenient - within walking distance of - Iglesia Nuestra Senõra de Pilar, Centro Cultural Recoleta (Fuerza Bruta), Recoleta Cemetery, Design Buenos Aires, the Museo des Bellas Artes, Ciudad Cultural Konex... I normally don't choose to do TripAdvisor reviews when everybody else has already raved about the place. But Reina Madre is such a great place that I'm compelled to re-state what everybody else has already said. The place is spotlessly clean; the owner (who's on-site pretty much all the time) is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful; it is bright, with lots... More

Location: Lovely neighborhood. near subway and busses, supermarket, shops and restaurants. It is not a good night life area, however. Staff: The owner and staff are great. Super friendly and helpful. Well run hospital. I adore Alberto. Ambience: Very friendly atmosphere. Easy to meet people. Several areas to hang out including a rooftop terrace. Great vibe. Facilities: Choice of different... We stayed almost a week at the Reina Madre Hostel and had a great time! The location of the hostel is perfect, the neighbourhood is safe and quiet and the hostel is only a few blocks away from the main street and the subway station. It is ideally located for sightseeing, shopping or going out at night. The atmosphere in... More

I stayed there for 11 nights. Some of the days were for work, so I had to leave early and came home in the late evening. Some of the days I was a tourist. The hostel is great for both. I had no trouble sleeping (except when two people were snoring synchronously at incredible volume, but that can happen in... More

Reina Madre is definitely one of the best place you should choose to stay in BsAs! The host is warm and friendly. Always willing to help and have a nice conversation with his guests. The bathrooms are clean and easy to use. Breakfast is above average :)

We stayed at Reina Madre after escaping the insanity of Hostel Suites on La Florida. It was a breath of fresh air with comfy beds and a wayyy better location. The owner was great and made an effort to get to know us despite the language barrier! The hostel is super clean and has an adorable cat :) It includes... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
