This is a charming guesthouse with well-designed, art-filled rooms and offering a nice combination of amenities to keep one very comfortable in Buenos Aires. As such, I stayed for five days upon my immediate arrival and again for another three days. The rooms are clean and guests can enjoy a shared area with comfortable couches, a selection of books and... More

We originally were only planning to stay here for 3 nights but extended to 5, mainly because of our love of the city and the hotel too. It's in a great location, and it's great value for money considering the quality of the hotel. The breakfasts were some of the best we've had so far in South America, and we... More

We only stayed here one night but everything was fine. Found it a little tricky to find but eventually did. Some things in the room were a little worn but overall fine. The spa was a nice luxury for us as we had been staying at hostels and b&b. supermarket close by as well as pharmacy. A little but of... More

This is a good place to stay in Buenos Aires for its location on Chile street (near downtown). Very good advice from the personal on place. Good breakfast. The hotel is near the bus tour and all of the facilities (bank, food store, laundry, restaurant). The rooms are very nice and clean. This is a safe place to go in... More

Stayed in 2 of the rooms at the start and end of trip.both were lovely rooms with quirky decoration. This is not a hotel for you if you want someone at your beck and call all the time. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Can use the kitchen if required. Nice living room area with range of books to read.... More

Friendly, personal, lots of character, gorgeous house - we felt very much like at home and will come back next time. Spacious kitchen, two living rooms and different outside spaces from a cozy balcony to the different very cute roof terraces are at everybody's disposal. The room is nicely furnished and reasonably clean, but the bed is old and the... More

As we were planning quite a few days in BA we wanted somewhere where we could do a bit of food preparation and have a bit more space than offered in a regular hotel room. We were in BA over Christmas and we knew that all shops/restaurants etc would be closed. This hotel fitted the bill. Room was spacious and... More

In Bonito boutique hotel the only problema was the noise in the street at nigth, but the room was very prety and the personel was very friendly! The breakfast is very good and it seems that we are at home!

I spent 4 nights at Hotel Bonito and felt at home from the start: the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the location is good, within walking distance of San Telmo, yet not very touristy. I enjoyed the unusual decor and will definitely stay at Hotel Bonito again, if I ever go back to BA. I can warmly recommend... More

A small hotel/B&B with 4 or 5 rooms in total. The rooms are located in the 3rd floor of a "normal" house near the congress. There is no real hotel feeling, it's more like staying the the apartment of a friend. The stuff is very friendly and the rooms are nice and clean with lots of light. A place to... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
