I stayed here for 5 nites at the end of October and it was great! We got picked up from Diego at the airport and he was such a great host. Our room was great and the location was very good too. We were only like a block and a half from the train so it was extremely convenient. We... more

We stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely loved it. Diego & Mauro are lovely hosts - the best we met on our month long trip around Argentina & Chile. They go out of their way to make you feel at home in their relaxed trendy pad and are really helpful with any questions and made excellent recommendations. We'd definitely... more

When planning my Argentina vacation I emailed a few of the top rated hotels and hostels. Very few were consistent in answering my questions. Elefante Rosa was the exception. I got email responses almost immediately to all my inquiries, so I chose to stay here and it was a great choice. The accommodation was great. We got a single bedroom.... more

My boyfriend and I ended up spending 8 nights at the Elefante Rosa and absolutely loved it! The 2 brothers Diego & Mauro who run the hotel are so friendly and couldn't be anymore helpful, by the time we left felt like friends. The hostel itself is in a beautiful old building that they have renovated themselves. The decor is... more

Arriving at the Elefante Rosa was a welcome change after I had stayed in impersonal backpacker hostels elsewhere in Buenos Aires. As another reviewer here has said, it is more like staying with friends. The two brothers who own the hostel are friendly and always available to give you invaluable local advice as well as offering extras like airport pick-up.... more

This is an area of Buenos Aires where old men still meet every day to have their coffee and debate over politics. Restaurant dueños and mozos know their clients, they talk like old friends, I think sometimes they are. Tango has a strong history here. I planned to stay a few days but ended up renting a room for two... more

I've spent 3 lovely days in elefante rosa. This old-stiled house keeps a magical atmosphere herited from the past. You can feel at home: bathrooms toilets and the kitchen are all very clean, the rooms wide and confortable. The two brothers who run this place are full of attention for your needs. High-roof and a colorful skylight over the living... more

I went to Buenos Aires for five months for university studies and to experience Argentina. I was recommended this hostel by a friend and I ended up staying there until my return to Europe. They have a fast and reliable internet connection and airy rooms, suitable for studying. But above all I stayed for the atmosphere of the place, the... more
