I stayed at Elefante Rosa in December 2010. Diego, the owner, was a VERY friendly fellow. His friendliness, combined with his sense of humour, created an exceptional atmosphere. (And on top of that helped me to take some interesting pictures.) Staying at Elefante Rosa in Buenos Aires I felt very good. Like home. Michał Obrębski Warsaw, Poland

Overall an excellent place to stay. Location- only about 2 blocks to the Humberto stop on the yellow line of the metro, with an underground connector to Jujuy on the purple metro line. Make sure to write the number of the hostel down when you are first finding it because it doesn´t have a big sign outside, a pink door... More

This hostel/hotel is within a block of the subway, so easy to connect for traveling to other parts of the city. The 2 rooms that my family of 3 stayed in faced an inner breakfast/lounging room (no windows). We shared common bathrooms (boys/girls) with the other guests and there was also a small kitchen for cooking, which we took advantage... More

A great 'place to call home' in Buenos Aires. I stayed here several times on a recent trip to Argentina. Diego is an excellent host - very welcoming and ready to help with tips on restaurants, attractions, buses/metro.

He's very genuine and open to interesting conversation about life, Argentina or just about anything else you want to throw at him!! The... More

We booked 5 nights at Elefante Rosa and ended up extending our stay by another 3 nights. Diego, the owner, is warm, welcoming and very helpful. We stayed in one of the loft rooms and loved it. Breakfast is simple, but delicious and filling. The location makes it easy to get around as 2 subway lines are just a quick... More

I stayed here for a week in September. The rooms are arranged around a central communal space - full of interesting objects and furniture. Diego was great - full of information if you needed it. The hostel is within walking distance of San Telmo and has 2 metro lines within 5 minutes walk. A great base for exploring Buenos Aires.
