El Elefante Rosa is a lovely place to stay. Diego is really friendly, and I felt like I was at home, enjoying the long breakfasts and getting interesting tips about where to go in Buenos Aires. The local area is really interesting, with some great places to eat, and is far enough away to escape the tourist bustle of the... More

We stayed in this hostel for almost a week. We really enjoyed this small but very nicely renovated hostel. It is clean and well equipped and Diego, the host, makes you feel really welcome. The Boedo neighourhood, might be less popular than San Telmo or Palermo, but it was actually really nice. Less touristic, but with sufficient restaurants, supermarkets etc.... More

We stayed at Elefante Rosa for two weeks in the twin bed room and had a really lovely time. The hostel is in an old building, with a nice, tranquil atmosphere. It was very clean, I really liked the bathroom setup, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The included breakfast was also very good, with homemade jam! The beds were just... More

My boyfriend and I went to BA in dec 2013 and then came back in january 2014. The place is amazing! We just loved it! Mauro and Diego are the owners of this amazing place. They are such an amazing hosts. They are very helpful and knowledgeable about the city (BA). The rooms were as expected. First, we stay in... More

This was the start of our travels in Argentina and we received a warm welcome (once we'd found it - not very clear from outside, especially late at night after a long journey!). The hostel was quiet and the room comfortable and spacious. The area was very noisy from the road although it is in central BA so to be... More

The building and the decoration are beautiful. The situation is good as it is not far from a subway station. A bit of noise from the street but we still slept well. Diego is full of useful tips on how to optimize your stay in the city and will help with bookings and such.

I stayed at Elefante Rosa in December 2010. Diego, the owner, was a VERY friendly fellow. His friendliness, combined with his sense of humour, created an exceptional atmosphere. (And on top of that helped me to take some interesting pictures.) Staying at Elefante Rosa in Buenos Aires I felt very good. Like home. Michał Obrębski Warsaw, Poland

Overall an excellent place to stay. Location- only about 2 blocks to the Humberto stop on the yellow line of the metro, with an underground connector to Jujuy on the purple metro line. Make sure to write the number of the hostel down when you are first finding it because it doesn´t have a big sign outside, a pink door... More

This hostel/hotel is within a block of the subway, so easy to connect for traveling to other parts of the city. The 2 rooms that my family of 3 stayed in faced an inner breakfast/lounging room (no windows). We shared common bathrooms (boys/girls) with the other guests and there was also a small kitchen for cooking, which we took advantage... More
