The hostel is not terrible. It is inexpensive. The staff is general friendly. The other travelers were a nice bunch. There's hot water. That being said, the daily cleaning is more of a reorganizing. My blanket was folded but nothing replaced with clean linens. The showers aren't spotless, but not nearly two star bad. Also, the wifi is accessible in... More

We spent 5 nights at this hostel and would definitely recommend. After staying in a couple of other hostels in BA we came across this one and were very impressed. The staff are amazing, speak great English and always ready to help and give advice. We stayed in the loft of a dormitory which was perfect. The hostel is kept... More

Rooms quiet for sleeping but mattresses old and in need of replacing. Everything kept very clean and beds remade each day. Wifi connection doesn't reach rooms. Breakfast is two croissants and a very cake which was a bit sweet for me in the morning. It had a nice outdoor area to sit in. Was quiet when I was there so... More

Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms are clean. Location is convenient. Thanks to Julian, Lucian and others! Breakfast would be better with real coffee and warm toasted bread instead of coffee machine + styrofoam cup + prepacked sweets. No bath towels in the rooms- they optional for additional fee.

Nice reception and people, very helpful! Clean and good bedrooms in a beautiful and calm building! The location is excelent, in the heart of San Telmo, with bars and restaurants very near! There is a discount for dinner in a neighbour restaurant. The internet is fast and works in every room of the hostel.

We stayed in hostal de granados for a hole week. It was such a nice experience! The place was very nice, our bedroom (we got a private one) was really good, we had a balcony with a great view of the streets of San Telmo, a little fridge, a table for coffee, etc. Also, they have cleaning services everyday. For... More

We didn't book it online but walked in after a 1st night bad experience in another hostel. I always trust first impressions, and honestly Mayra, the hostel owner was very welcoming, funny and friendly. She gave us many tips and advices during our stay in Buenos Aires. Dormitories are really nice. We slept in a 5 bed dormitory with air... More

Breakfast included! There is a nice patio and laundry service. free internet, a kitchen. There are lots of nice bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood. It is still rather basic, but very friendly and helpful. Clean and not too expensive.

We had a double room at this hostel which was in itself was actually okay; decent size with fridge, wardobe, table and chair. However, the room was very dark, there were no towels provided, and the pillows were wafer thin. We were unfortunately in the room above a bar which was very loud and went on until after 7am. Even... Staying in San Telmo

Neighborhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
